Poor you hope you have some relaxation away with DH this weekend maybe not quite as ideal as hoped but still quality.

Thanks Good luck getting everything gynae sorted (sorry not elegantly phrased).
Jacksmania · 25/10/2012 22:08

Just had DH read this and he laughed his head off. Said that it was a good thing that MNers have a great sense of humour. Thanks, all of you, for reading and bumping. It's really appreciated. I'm just feeling so utterly shit and fed up and done with all this, it's really getting to me, and it's nice to be able to have a laugh. So, Thanks, you bloody nest of vipers :o

Not really slept well since Aunt died on Sunday - returned to my non sleep state as I was in between Aillidhs death and funeral. Slept for 4 hours on sofa, that was quite good! Need to get up and get ready soon.

It is bloody freezing here this morning - need to go and de fluff my smart winter coat!!

Jacksmania · 26/10/2012 06:30

Cold here too. We've had snow on the mountains already. FFS.
I'm so sorry about your auntie :( :( :(

I had a polyp, it was removed during an op to see why I'd been bleeding for 9 months. Turns out I have endometriosis. The polyp (& fibroid) they found were just "bonus" finds and were causing no ill affects.
The endo, however, causes me a lot of discomfort and pain.

Mine was keyhole surgery. I've had 2 ops, the polyp hasn't returned.

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 26/10/2012 07:36

Did someone sound the KLAXON?

Scout19075 · 26/10/2012 07:39

I you JM but fear I have no advice.

Jacksmania · 26/10/2012 14:38

Maybe we could invent a new polyp klaxon, MissBee :o

SageYourOracle · 26/10/2012 14:55

Thank god someone pointed out earlier up thread that it was you being mean about you, JM!

I just wanted to say that I sympathise with you. Slightly different in that fanjo is still pretty much as was post DD BUT I'm in premature menopause (I'm 34, was diagnosed at 31) so my ovaries are now the size of raisins and I have to take HRT. It's taken ages to find the right combination and I bled almost constantly for 3 months over the summer. Woke up one morning at about 4am covered in blood, flooded through all San pro (super plus tampon, towel) etc etc. Fecking nuisance and a total bore. I had to have a biopsy etc and it seems everything is fine. I'm now on Norethistone and Tranexemic acid which stops bleeding and reduces bleeding. I don't know if this can help with polyps too but I do know that some types of progesterone aren't that helpful in some cases.

As for a fanjo klaxon, I dread to think what one of those would look and sound like!

SageYourOracle · 26/10/2012 14:56

Shit, bugger, arse!

Polyp klaxon NOT fanjo klaxon!

Jacksmania · 26/10/2012 15:01

Sage :o

Either one gives a pretty, erm, interesting mental picture :o

3 weeks today for gynae appt. Not too long, not too long. I might be able to fit, oh, maybe two periods int that time frame? Angry Fuck.

Shit.

Jacksmania - I've had uterine polyp or two, but I didn't post on your thread because mine were all a bit gross and I didn't want to freak you out. My advice - if they offer to get rid of it for you, take them up on the offer.

And yes they make you bleed like nobodies business - I resorted to two extra heavy flow sanitary towels at a time, and then babies nappies Blush - but as I said mine had started behaving badly. Yours wont - it's not common, but get rid of the bugger so you can stop haemorraging every month!

SageYourOracle · 26/10/2012 15:24

Kurri- I had to use one of DD's nappies whilst DH went out to the all night garage to get more towels. Glad I'm not the only one!

Jacksmania · 26/10/2012 15:26

Kurri, you couldn't possibly freak me out. I was a nurse a million years ago, and now work in alternative health, and have been through the OB/gyn mill a bit.
But if you don't want to freak out anyone else, you could PM me :)
Thanks

KurriKurri · 26/10/2012 16:04

Jakc - have PM'd you Smile

KurriKurri · 26/10/2012 16:04

Jack - sorry - fat fingers Grin

KurriKurri · 26/10/2012 16:05

Sage - sorry you've been through it too, - it all gets a bit desperate trying to stem the flow!

Jacksmania · 26/10/2012 18:59

Thanks Kurri - wow, that's a bit of an epic tale Shock.
I will do my best not to end up in that kind of situation. How bloody horrible for you. :(

Ahem Hmm
This thread will shortly be deleted, what with it being a thread about (2) threads and all.
Hmm

Happy Friday all
Thanks

Jacksmania · 26/10/2012 19:21

What? Seriously?

OP posts:
KurriKurri · 26/10/2012 19:28

That's a joke yes Olivia?

This is a helpful thread for anyone having these sort of gynae problems.

Jack - thanks for your reply, - it was a shitty time, - I was never so glad to see the back of an organ as when I had my Hysterectomy! Grin
