To object to my money being spent this way

A neighbour of mine has started a small ironing business. I give her an order every fortnight or so costing approx £20 a time. Every single night there are takeaways being sent to her house, she lives with her 4 children. To be honest I am really annoyed at the fact that I am out working 45+ hours per week and she is spending my money on takeaways every night. I would not object if she was actually spending the money on her children but WIBU to stop giving her orders seeing as she is just wasting everyones money.

bloody hell - i always get taken in with the reverse threads. tell her to do her own bloody ironing the cheeky cow. its up to you what you spend the money on - in fact next time get a fake note and light a fag with it while waving at her...iron in hand, pizza in the other.

You're all correct, of course.

I think when I take her order back to her I will ask her if she got permission from her boss to pay someone to get her ironing done. And then see how long it takes her to realise how ridiculous she has been.

Fuck yeah YANBU OP, I once paid some lowly fucker to do my cleaning, and she had the fucking GALL to go and get hammered that night and vomit up her money in the gutter.

What fucking scum. She should have gone to yoga to better her mind, body and soul. Twat.

Your neighhbour is a loon

joanofarchitrave · 24/10/2012 21:24

Blimey.

I'd be really tempted to take one last lot of ironing from her, do the lot and send it back in a temptingly folded pile. With a large pepperoni pizza nestling in the middle of the shirts.

It is an unfortunate natural progression for some who see media reports expecting a say in what those on benefits can spend their money on as their money is supporting them in their view. Therefore not too far a stretch to imagine someone with that mentality expanding this to those who provide a service.
Nasty nasty way of thinking.

Sounds like she's not the brightest spark in the box.

If you're turning away work...turn hers away too.

apostropheuse · 24/10/2012 21:30

fluffypillow · 24/10/2012 21:37

Mandy2003 · 24/10/2012 21:43

O-h-h-h-h! I thought you meant that your ironed clothes were returned to you smelling of takeaway food!!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 24/10/2012 22:04

"I'm really sorry but as you seem to be a total twat, I will not be able to provide you with an ironing service in the future!" I'll be too busy eating takeaways you total nobber
