I've had an infected foot and toenails for years
antibiotics - nyada
topical creams - nyada
THEN
discovered garlic
.
cut a clove across and rub the oil into the skin / nail / sore bit
wash off after an hour (otherwise it stings like billyo)
.
foot nearly fully healed

Interesting...So, does a clove of garlic up the bum kill threadworms?

MonkeyRisotto · 15/10/2012 09:02

Surely garlic can't help cure a cold? Colds are viral not bacterial/fungal!

Fakebook · 15/10/2012 09:29

If you have a bad chesty cough, crush 2 cloves of garlic and eat it, by actually biting into it, or crush and put in some hot water and drink. Sorts out the cough in a night.

Not as much as I'd say "use salt and then use more.

I thought this was a cooking thread Smile

Shock Shock Shock

I am coming back to tell you all that this thread gave me the idea to rub some raw garlic on a weird skin thing I have. I wont mention it's name as it is SO rare, that if you googled it, you'd possibly be able to out me. Grin

It's MUCH better today! Shock

The weird skin thing is a rare condition that isn't cancerous....(been to dermatologists had it checked) it is very hard to cure and the only things that they have on offer have been tried....I have an appointment on Fri to see about laser treatment but the garlic has succeeded in flattening the marks substantially and fading the smallest ones noticably.

This makes me think that the weird skin thing is bacterial somehow....they have only just found out for instance that Rosacea is due to an allergy to the poop of the mites that live in our skin! SO it is feasable that my condition is not fully understood..

I am repeating garlic rubbing tonight bugger the stink and if there continues to be an improvement I will tell the dermatologist on Friday.

DH was horrified by me as I lay there in bed reeking!
