Should've probably read the description before, but got 1/2 an hour in and have switched off. I'm in tears. Can't shake it off. Has anyone else seen this film?!

Diets This is the film I meant, so sorry if I've confused you its actually called 4321. Apologies I'm old, and its something I remember watching with DD1 and her friends not too long ago. Its not exactly gritty but is by Noel Clarke and does star Plan B, I think its meant to be a bit more entertaining than hard hitting. I suggest watching the youtube trailer.

Delia Don't be silly, I didn't take offence at all, not at all. It just reminded me of the fact that while DS might take say gang violence and crime as being nothing out of the ordinary, and he has seen the victims of stabbings etc, when he was out at MIL's house in Jamaica this summer and she killed a chicken in front of him, he was traumatised! So I was more saying that I don't think it completely hardens them all, I've had one of the 'hardest' boys i know weeping in my kitchen not so long ago, its just an unfortunate aspect of their lives and that really we all have our crosses to bear as a result of our environment and upbringing.

In this film I don't think Plan B is saying this is real as in a documentary. Nor is he saying this is real as a common London experience.

He's saying this is a intense snap shot of how liife can be for some people.

I tried to watch 4321 but really couldn't get into it, I thought it was very unrealistic to the point of being a bit silly!

sonofzod · 12/10/2012 16:55

it wasnt as bad as the OP made out, i watched GBH the night previously and there was a rape scene in this movie which was much more disturbing..

i usually download movies and let my mother watch them when shes bored but ive deleted both Ill Manners and GBH and neither are a nice night in movie to watch..

Rock of Ages is tonights viewing, something less gritty..
