To think I have been a complete and utter prat

I run a commercial cleaning company and recently won a new contract. After much pressure from hubby and in-laws I gave the cleaning job to brother in law who I was assured would do a good job.
Day 1 he turned up in bermuda shorts (I made him go change) and then got confused when he was vaccing a corridor as he got half way down and ran out of wire. He had to get me to explain the idea of plugging it in a different socket.
I cannot sack him as he is a relative, but have a bad feeling I will be losing this contract soon.
Worse still he has informed me he is not telling the benefits office even though I have explained I have to send his NI number to HMRC.
I know I have been a total prat!

I think MNHQ should set 2 hours aside on a Friday evening for flounces, with highlights repeated in the week so most people don't miss them.

BearWithBearWith · 10/10/2012 16:08

First you bring my arse into this now you're bringing Vaga's wotsits? Shock

flyoverthegoldenhill · 10/10/2012 16:10

or maybe MNHQ can just tweet to schools when something exciting is going on and let the staff know that mums are too busy to do the school run yet

IvorHughJackolantern · 10/10/2012 16:14

Damnit I spent the last hour making soup then having it explode all over the kitchen because the lid for the whizzy thing wasn't on properly - and I missed the op's answer Angry

Pleased to see it sounds like she said something nice about your bum though Worra Wink

MaryZed · 10/10/2012 16:16

Oh [disappointed]

Who is reporting these threads? I would much rather see her posts stand and be seen, it's mad to delete them because it becomes a "he said, she said but we have no proof" type of thread.

I ran into the op on another thread today too.

By they way, everyone who agrees with Worra is a bully, so there 'cos otherwise you wouldn't jump on the bandwagon like this.

MaryZed · 10/10/2012 16:16

And what lisaro said, I would love that.

DIYapprentice · 10/10/2012 16:17

WorraLiberty · 10/10/2012 16:20

I've broken it Worra, I shouted 'Jesus wanker fuck' and threw the top bit (glass) in the general direction of the sink, where it hit a saucepan and smashed. DS, standing happily on the other side of the kitchen door (thank God) smiled beautifically and said 'oh dear'. Which is about right.

MaryZed · 10/10/2012 16:22

I would tell you to fuck off, Worra, but I have far to much respect for your opinions

WorraLiberty · 10/10/2012 16:25

Ivor that sounds like a normal soup making episode in this house.

Maryzed please leave my onions out of this - thank you.

edam · 10/10/2012 16:25

I wish MNHQ would do something about that itchy trigger finger. Why do they not THINK before deleting somethign? So someone complains, doesn't mean the complaint is automatically justified - as with this OP.

Maybe I need itchy trigger finger MNHQ people to run the competition pages, then when I don't win I can report the post giving someone else's name and demand deletion and replacement with MY name.
