What would happen if someone fell in the cut and there was someonewas walking past with ine of those on?

Expectations would be raised for a safe and timely rescue.

But those hopes would be utterly dashed when the 9yo Tallulah announced it was just bought in Newquay in the summer and she only has just got her 25m.

I saw someone in a Woolacombe red hoodie last month. You should have seen dd's lip curl. VERY naff, and nobody who actually lives in those areas would be seen dead. You might as well have a kiss me quick hat.

SuePurblybilt · 03/10/2012 11:51

Jezzy Crizzy in the manger, so when I type J ack Wills, it turns into a live link for Jack W ills?

THIN END OF THE WEDGE, MNHQ. Will the Orange Klaxon take us to Petey's home page? Will Jiz Loans get a link?

GetOrfAKAMrsUsainBolt · 03/10/2012 11:53

NOOOO sue local kids don't wear them do they?

GetOrfAKAMrsUsainBolt · 03/10/2012 11:53

Perhaps if you type motherfucker it will take you to the No. 10 website.

cheesesarnie · 03/10/2012 11:55

we are close to lots of beaches.

i hate them- tacky holiday maker hoodies to be worn with crocs.

newquay tends to be the most popular 'lifeguard' wannabes in hoodies place.

SuePurblybilt · 03/10/2012 11:56

Only the wannabee Padstow Crowd, gerrof. They have a particular uniform Grin
The actual surfy types would point and larf.

CallMeDave. Halfords. Liz Jones. Carby Claire. Argos. Tesco. Cunting Sainsburys.

Just testing Grin

ontheedgeofwhatever · 03/10/2012 11:56

My 12 year old half brother has one but (big difference) he is part of the junior surf life guard team for his area and he has saved lives (very proud of him)

RikersBeard · 03/10/2012 11:59

Have never seen one, have never heard of Jack Wills, and people on the beaches up here tend to be wearing North Face and Vaseline.

And £15 for fish and chips? Shock

RikersBeard · 03/10/2012 12:01

Was that not intentional Sue?

Argos

RikersBeard · 03/10/2012 12:02

You are having a laugh, i haven't even got the convert linkies box ticked

SuePurblybilt · 03/10/2012 12:04

It is not intention, it is the New Fing, innit? Thread in Site Stuff.

Boden. Boris Johnson. Daily Mail. Anthea Turner. The BBC. Keith Lemon.

RikersBeard · 03/10/2012 12:14

Mm found it. Disconcerted.
Birds Eye. Spam. Fray Bentos.

SuePurblybilt · 03/10/2012 12:19

Just shops then

For now.....

user12785 · 03/10/2012 12:21

My 5 yr old has one, sent from Oz. He also has a policeman's outfit. He has never been asked to either save a drowning person, or to arrest anyone. Smile

DeWe · 03/10/2012 12:26

I saw the lifeguards in training at our local pool.

One jumped in the deep end and pretended to drown.

Young lad lifeguard dived in the shallow end. Swam a speed crawl towards victim who was somewhat washed under in the wave. Grabbed victim round the neck (in the proper grip iyswim)and swam back, also speed crawl carefully holding their face under the water the whole way.

Result was the victim was blue in the face and nearly needed ressusitating, and the trainer was purple in the face with shouting. Grin

KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 03/10/2012 12:29

I'm interested in a Hooie chaos, what are you retailing them for?

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 03/10/2012 12:31

Liz Jones

gallicgirl · 03/10/2012 12:39

The RNLI receive money from the sale of some lifeguard hoodies, from Seasalt for example. So YABU, mostly for having a holiday in Cornwall when I can't, snot fair.

Startailoforangeandgold · 03/10/2012 12:41

Jenai that link goes to cheap condoms WTF is that about??

As to fake life guard hoodies, having a short sighted DD I'd rather they didn't sell them.

I'd much rather if she's lost she found a real life guard not a tall child in red and yellow.

Up to age 12 no anything bigger agree.

ilovetermtime · 03/10/2012 12:56

They are the epitome of naff. No-one from the south west would wear one, they're strictly for the tourists. Like Fat Willy's.

NormanTheForeman · 03/10/2012 12:58

But the Seasalt ones don't actually look like real lifeguard hoodies - they say lifeguard on the front but have a much more fancy logo, and couldn't be mistaken for the real thing, whereas some of the ones you can buy at beach shops in Cornwall look very realistic, especially if they are red. It's not so bad on young children, but and adult wearing one could easily be mistaken for a real lifeguard.

TalcAndTurnips · 03/10/2012 16:40

If we are going to get auto-linked and rake in free advertising cash for all these company chappies - then I am never going to spell a brand name correctly from now on.

I shall discuss:

Goden (goad - geddit? V. MN at present)

Jack Tills (come and fill them with your DOSH, kiddies)

Ardross

Shamesburys

Halfarts

Angry

Power to the People!

Have just noticed thread in Site Stuff, in which misspelling was mooted.

I am always at least six years behind the curve.
