Dp went to pub last night, i went to bed woken up by his work alarm at 4.15am, he wasnt in bed so went downstairs found him asleep on sofa. Clearly to much to drink.
I woke him up, the bastard had thrown up all over the sofa and slept in it. Apparently i was a "right moody bitch" to make him clean it all up before work. I have three children to sort in the morning i was not leaving mess on the sofa for them and leaving it there is just gross!. Also he has stuffed THREE loo rolls done the toilet - the idiot!

Now hes telling me i was wrong to of "forced" him to clean it up.

So what would all of you done?
I look forward to showing him the responses later im off out for a bit so may not reply for a while.

I would actually, yes, Numberlock.

Alcoholism is not like other illnesses. For a start, people who are sick due to other illnesses aren't generally abusive. Alcoholics quite often are.

Other illnesses don't tend to destroy the life of those around them in the way that alcoholism does.

Other illnesses are generally not self inflicted in the way that alcoholism is. Yes people might be using alcohol to 'self medicate' but there comes a point when someone feels the need to have a drink, before they are in too deep when they choose to continue rather than stop.

Having known families with alcoholics within them, I have very little sympathy for the element of it that impacts so negatively on other members of the family.

But we don't know if that is what is going on here.

I don't understand your question Numberlock?

I disagree that alcoholism is a disease, no one can be born with it, it is the result of a long period of bad choices. So no sympathy from me.
