Firstly, Hi. Post Number 1. Ever. :)

Went pram shopping with DW the other week and was massively shocked at the price and complexity of these previously unknown machines. I mean I've looked online as well and its mental. DW wants the full-monty travel system with Isofix pebble cabrios etc, we're talking the best part of £800. AIBU for two things.
1 expecting prams to be cheap
2 expecting hoping DW to consider 2nd hand, ebay etc

Short and sweet.

For those who are keen to have the baby facing them - the city mini does face away, but has a panel in the hood, so you can see your baby all the time.

I sound like i work for them - I don't, honestly.

Well I've only just put the v large Quinny Buzz 3 in the attic. Ds is 17mo. We've used it a lot.

It hasn't gone away because we have a replacement but because Ds is walking most places now. We do have a stroller but we last used it about a month ago.

Weight, life style and the wisdom of having babies permanently in a car seat and weight again!

I had one of the very first mountain buggies 14 years ago. It was £££ we only had £££ because a DF lent us almost every other bit of baby kit and clothing.

It let us go for long walks, it was really simple to fold, it fitted in the car just, it had a very simple practical rain cover. It was beautiful to push and light enough, for me to carry if I had too.

It was canvas and scrubable and lasted two DDs until they were 3+.

The only other buggy I had was a £15 umbrella one for when we needed the whole of the boot of the car for B&Q etc.
