to be fed up with the difference between boys and girls clothes

ive given up shopping for dd2 (2 year old) in the girls section; i want comfy warm durable soft trousers and tops--abundant in the boys section-joggers and trousers with cuffed bottoms; girls trousers either thin cotton/boot leg/stiff jeans or leggings..in sickly colours. Got packs of good quality thick cotton t-shirts in bright vibrant colours in boys section, instead of flimsy sparkly crap in girls section

DD1 is 8 year old....so likes flimsy sparkly crap...BUT I have the same problem in looking for decent sports wear. We always end up in the boys section for decent (not sweatshirt material) trousers and the cheaper tops that arent going to make her roast

Grrrrrr

There are lots of really tacky girls clothes, it's true, but plenty of nice ones too. I love h and m's cords - really sturdy and in lovely bright colours. They also sell nice fleeces and sweatshirts.

Also vertbaudet is quite good - some nice leather boots in the sale at the moment (I also get really annoyed that girls shoes always seem to be open across the top. We found one pair that wasn't - in hot pink. Sigh).

I think that boys' clothes are more durable, and are warmer. However, I think girls' clothes seem to focus more on comfort, sometimes. I've acquired various pairs of toddler jeans, and the girls' ones seem to have adjustable waists more. The inside of the waists had softer material on the girls' ones, too.

I have never struggled to find trousers with adjustable waists for DS, if things dont have them they fall down so I have to find them!

So I'm not going to be able to ebay the useless pairs of too big jeans to you then! Sad
