To think on the whole mumsnetters are kind and supportive?

Been here years, I've seen loads of different types of threads but I think mostly posters are lovely, do give appropriate support, do look out for each other. I know there are some idiots about sometimes too.

Or am I delusional

Do you know what..a few years ago I teased my husband for "talking to people online" it was a gamers thing. I said how sad it was that he was chatting to people on a forum that he didn't even know. Fast forward. I have just had worst year of my life. I have emigrated to the other side of the world, away from my family and friends, and have lost a child, been evicted twice, lost my Grandmother. Just a horrendous time.
And Mumsnet, has been there, when no one else could be.
I have found comfort and support, in the middle of the night when I felt I would go mad with grief.
I have said things on MN that I couldn't tell anyone in RL.

The humour, the support... the straight talking women on here have helped me SO much.

What would I have done without you?

Yep it's a good mix.

YANBU. Although this is one of the more, um, robust boards and attracts some real, er, feisty types.

Overall, MN = great support and help and I wouldn't be without it.

I love mn, I might not agree within every thread and every poster all of the time, but then I see the fab side too, such as Galena trying to raise 40k for her daughters op, the amount of mnetters that have all donated is massive.
Sometimes I like a row too and there is always someone willing to indulge :) mostly I think I'm just nosy and love the Christmas section.

I don't like how I should be doing uni assignments and get sucked in for hours.
