to think CBeebies Andy was wearing a slightly inappropriate silver spacesuit reading the birthdays this afternoon?

And yet strangely beguiling also. Hypnotic almost....

Certainly I had trouble averting my eyes.....

GhouliaYelps · 12/09/2012 17:33

Elfy! Snap. DD1 has just watched the first Ice Age in its entirety while I have been sitting here MNing. It's been a long time since she napped at 5pm, unfortunately!

booomy · 12/09/2012 17:39

I was on my phone, it basically won't let me over ride what it thinks is correct grammar.

By the way, just because lots of mums on here reassure each other cbeebies is okay, doesn't mean it is... it just means that you've stumbled across alot of other lazy people, because the thread is about cbeebies, so it therefore attracts other people who let their kids what cbeebies...

Vagaceratops · 12/09/2012 17:41

My DC's dont watch Cbeebies. It was the mention of Andy that lured me n.

we are a Disney junior house

NoWayNoHow · 12/09/2012 17:42

Booomy, you're really not doing yourself any favours. If your child is still napping at almost 6pm, then I'd hazard a guess that they're not old enough to watch any TV of any kind.

Give yourself a few years, and then come back here and apologise for being so unreasonably rude.

elfycat · 12/09/2012 17:42

rindercella we started with Ice Age 2 this afternoon, but we have been building dens in the living room, stacking blocks, eating pizza etc between mindlessly staring at the TV.

cansu · 12/09/2012 17:45

It is kind of hard to imagine what a fun kind of person you must be boomy. Why aren't you baking cakes or doing a craft activity with your dc? Do piss off.

DinosaursOnASpaceship · 12/09/2012 17:45

Andy is still wearing the spacesuit!

TyrannoWearsGoldKnickers · 12/09/2012 17:46

Thank you Dino! Just caught it!

TyrannoWearsGoldKnickers · 12/09/2012 17:47

Is that what attracted you to it, boomy? Or did your judgey witch senses just sniff out someone you could sneer at?

missymoomoomee · 12/09/2012 17:50

I missed it Sad me and the kids will park ourselves in front of the tv with a microwave ready meal and a bottle of Irn Bru until Andy returns, if only I was as good a mother as booomy.

kittenspjs · 12/09/2012 17:53

I am a shit parent AND I missed The Spacesuit. Not. My. Day.

bigsnugglebunny · 12/09/2012 17:53

Clearly the television was on for Mama's benefit... and not babysitting the toddler! Grin

Did you see the Olympic swimming bit with topless Sid?

Psammead · 12/09/2012 17:57

What on earth is wrong with Cbeebies? It's not a direct line to Satan fgs.

I fully plan to incorporate Cbeebies into my DD's daily schedule as soon as she hits 3 and we get a TV with a connection. I have seen some before and think it's brilliant. I love that there are fun programmes featuring disabled children, I like the craft ideas you get in some shows, and TV will be at least a small part in helping my DD with English, as she doesn't hear that much conversational English right now.

But even without of all that, TV is fun, in moderation!

I do not know Andy, but I am still somehow desperate to see him in his astronaut suit Grin

HeadfirstForHalos · 12/09/2012 18:00

My kids don't watch cbeebies either! They are currently watching Regular Show on CN while eating veg soup (from a tin) and crumpets

And I'm not lazy Glooomy Booomy, I've been working all day (voluntarily) walked the kids home from school and got soaked in the process. Dried kids, got them in their PJ's, did the evenings reading, and I'm now having a well deserved rest. So on behalf of all normal loving parents like myself, do fuck off dear.

HeadfirstForHalos · 12/09/2012 18:02

And now I'm pissed off and I still haven't seen Andy in his spacesuit Angry

Does he look David Bowie-esque?

bigsnugglebunny · 12/09/2012 18:02

My son's favourite television programme is Deal or No Deal gambling AND television... what a shit mother I must be! Grin

MrsDWho · 12/09/2012 18:03

Andy is paid highly to babysit and entertain our children us.

Got to be much more fun than spending time with a mother who spends too much of her time judging others and looking down her nose. Kindly, feck orf.

bigsnugglebunny · 12/09/2012 18:04

put it this way HeadfirstForHalos - everything appears to be proportional... (he's 6'4" apparently) Wink

TyrannoWearsGoldKnickers · 12/09/2012 18:05

Why does it seem to be raining everywhere except where I am? It's not rained here for 10 days and I have new cleamtis!

HeadfirstForHalos · 12/09/2012 18:08
Grin

We pay the license fee for presenters ike Andy to babysit, may as well make use of him!

MrDobalina · 12/09/2012 18:10

-hands booomy small bottle of vodka and strokes her hair-

Lambzig · 12/09/2012 18:10

I have just stwitched beebies on (clearly I am a bad mother) while I cook tea. Andy is still wearing space suit, but appears to be wearing a blanket over his lap.

Chikalini, that must be your fault.
