Saw him on TV (EH) on one of those comedy roadshow thingies. He was in the audience and when the camera showed him he put his hand at the side of his head to hide his specs. The next time the camera showed him he wasn't wearing them!! Talk about being vain.

Gosh jes! Or if he wears them when out and about people are less likely to recognise him? So doesn't want to be known for wearing glasses Lol

chickens, I have just yelled with laughter at your description of the dough faced one. I don't care if he's a bit fat and defensive about it, but I do think he is an ignorant throwback with prehistoric views. I have no idea how Ruth puts up with it.

Also agree he is very insincere, to the extent that in an advert for his Sky programme, he's in a cab blethering on and I always expect him to turn to the camera and say: 'this is all bollocks you know'.

YANBU. He is revolting.

It's a case of the 'arrogance of wealth'. Holmes is from a relatively poor background who got into TV and has seen his salary grow to make him a pretty wealthy man. Along with a whole cart load of arrogance!

He often comes across as god almighty in his views - last week he told a businessman that CVs should have photos on them. When the businessman politely disagreed, Holmes insisted the he was wrong!

Holmes isn't the only obnoxious one on Sky. Dermot Murnaghan, who practically shouts at guests in a superior fashion, was caught on camera recently 'snogging' a 20-something make up girl in a public park. Wife nowhere in sight, of course.

Then there's Colin Brazier. Arrogant and condescending to guests, especially when they mis-pronounce words.
