mine is tutty means shit in Pakistani and I apologise if I've spelt tutty wrongly. I like it because it can be said softly as a term of endearment eg hello my little tutty. Good one for the family dog/cat/guineapig/teenager* delete as appropriate.

Jou bliksem. Afrikaans for you bastard.
Nat naai (pronounced nat nigh). Afrikaans for wet screw.

Softlysoftly · 03/09/2012 00:29

SPsFanjoSponsoredByFemFresh · 03/09/2012 00:32

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 03/09/2012 00:39

Iesu Mawr which is big Jesus in Welsh. A bit like saying Jesus Christ.
Iesu is ee sue, Mawr rhymes with flower.

Cynner · 03/09/2012 01:03

Beecho..I found out the awkward way...was taught it meant bug..in some Spanish speaking cultures it means dirty wanker..my host family looked askance at me as I ran around my room shrieking BEECHOOO!!! BEEEECHHHOOO...I merely wanted to convey my terror at the large alien creature crawling in my shoe..

ElaineBenes · 03/09/2012 01:22

I've always liked 'tuches laker' which literally means arse licker in Yiddish.

And 'cus emuk' in Arabic which is pretty awful and only to be used in extreme situations!

KitchenandJumble · 03/09/2012 01:45

Yob tvoyu mat.

Russian for "motherfucker" (or more literally "[I] fucked your mother"). Very satisfying to say, with those plosive sounds. Not for polite company at all.

shubiedoo · 03/09/2012 01:50

I'm Canadian, and love swearing Quebec style, all the words are Catholic!
Tabernac (tabernacle)
Calvaire (calvary)
Calice (chalice)
Crisse (Christ)
e.g. J'ai mange une crisse de bonne pizza hier soir (I had a fuckin good pizza last night.)

comixminx · 03/09/2012 01:52

Spain is particularly keen on swearingness I'd say (much more so than other Spanish-speaking countries like Mexico). The one referred to by sqoosh above is "me cago en la leche de tu puta madre". As also mentioned, they also use the word coño a lot: I've heard a mother sat it to her little kid that she was dragging round by one arm!

NovackNGood · 03/09/2012 01:55

In spain coño is a term of endearment.

A vulgar version of coño is chocho

Cynner · 03/09/2012 02:01

Ohhhh..Novak when I was in the Dominican Republic, chocha meant cunt.

Softlysoftly · 03/09/2012 02:27

spfango I was told so yes!

Pronounced as I've spelt it:

Ding (like dingdong) Nig (like big) O (as in Oh My) Fie (like Lie) Chow (as in mein!) Hie (Lie again)

Said fast dingnigofie chowhie.

Enjoy finding a reason to use it Grin

NellyJob · 03/09/2012 02:38

fab thread!! my personal favourites are;
Kurwe (koorva) Polish for 'whore' literally, but sprinkled in like 'fuck'
Koorva match - something like 'fucks sake'
agamissou - go fuck yourself in Greek
pooshty malaka - gay wanker in Greek

FadingAwayToAHippo · 03/09/2012 02:47

I was going to say "el Puta madre" I think it means your mother is a w*e, I don't particularly like it though.

Bap ho I think is fuck in Chinese?

TaintedLove · 03/09/2012 02:53

Not even going to google the correct spelling, and it isn't a swear but my fave "insult" when I was a teen learning german was..

Herr KartoffelenKopf.

(as I said, I didn't check the spelling!)

ripsishere · 03/09/2012 07:00

Maniac is wanker in Omani
My favourite one (which I've forgotten now) described the shit that clings to a sheeps arse. To calls someone one of those was very poor form in Switzerland.

sashh · 03/09/2012 07:08

In Birmingham airport there is a huge advvert showing some delightful children making a heart symbol with their hands, but one looks more like the British Sign Language for 'cunt'. It's so wrong, but also so funny.

I also like fucal - not a swear word, just the irish for 'word', but it sounds rude.

Wanker is wanker in indonesiona.

SpiritInMotionDaddyman · 03/09/2012 07:08

Grin at Mr potatohead.

Wrigglebum · 03/09/2012 07:20

Vittu- c**t in Finnish. I can't remember the spellings but the words for penis and arse (pirkele and perse?) are satisfying to say with the rolled r.

Korva in Czech is equivalent to f*k and the word for c*t sounds a bit like peach (picna maybe?) so I got a dirty look in the supermarket for exclaiming my joy at seeing peach juice.

Doingakatereddy · 03/09/2012 07:23

Kozyol which is Russian insult, basically calling a man a goat. Nit sure why, but this really pisses off Rissian blokes.

thebeesnees79 · 03/09/2012 07:26

wanker in Greek is Malaga and scada is shit :) My dad Greek haha best words I Have been taught.
i think this is the right way to spell German swear word ferdampta shiser=fucking shit lol

Itsjustafleshwound · 03/09/2012 07:26

Doos - Afrikaans for box, but means c**t

thebeesnees79 · 03/09/2012 07:28

oh and budana is slag in Greek

biddyofsuburbia · 03/09/2012 07:29

Gott Verdomme! in Dutch - means God Damn it but it rolls of the tongue rather nicely!

GetOrfAKAMrsUsainBolt · 03/09/2012 07:33
