Yes, after three episodes of TIE 88, and Winter's Bone we looked at the planner and saw The Lovely Bones, Antichrist and My Sister's Keeper. There was also last week's as yet unwatched episode of The Accused!!!

We dcided to read our books for a bit.

Ugh....I hated AntiChrist

Matesnotdates · 03/09/2012 15:00

wordfactory - is winter's Bone worth watching ? Have the DVD and am waiting for a happy day...

MrsRobertDuvallHasRosacea · 03/09/2012 15:07

Winters bone is very depressing...didn't they use local crystal meth addicts for some of the cast?

I think Stephen Graham is superb, although I struggled with him playing Billy Bremner.

imonthefone · 03/09/2012 15:12

I found Winters Bone difficut to watch because I couldnt hear it properly..not sure if it was sound quality or the accents....

Everlong I watched scum when I was quite young and that part of the film really upset me too! scum showed a harsh way of life that that poor boy just didnt 'fit' into.

Off to google Winters bone now.

Mrsjay · 03/09/2012 15:40

I think a young ray winstone was in scum ?

AmberLeaf · 03/09/2012 15:42

Yes he was.

Quite a few of the actors I recognised when I watched it in later years.

Harry Cross from Brookside played one of the prison guards!

Mrsjay · 03/09/2012 15:42

oh tonight i will be watching enders while recording a thing about battersea dogs home on ITV (england) Stv are not showing it , then probably numb my brain with big brother, I watched a drama last night about the doctor who invented the stoke mandeville (spelling) games on bbc2 last night I enjoyed that

Mrsjay · 03/09/2012 15:43

Mrsjay · 03/09/2012 15:43

I would probably recognise more if i watched it now, I just remember an interview with Ray and they mentioned it

LapsedPacifist · 03/09/2012 15:47

i wanted to watch it last night-Netflix is rubbish-doesnt have it

I watched the first series of TiE instead. Still processing. It is compelling viewing. And Im finding it cathartic

there is a lot more humour in the series than the film. Sorry funny characters; Rudey Trudy and the bully on the motorbike! Grin

AmberLeaf · 04/09/2012 11:35

I wanted to watch dead mans shoes last night but couldnt find it on youtube. anyone know where I can see it?
