C4 is using commentators and spokes-people with disabilities that reflect some of the disabilities incurred by the participants.

In some cases, they are considerably better than the mainstream sports presenters.

Ade Adepitan for example has been a brilliant commentator this evening. Informed, knows his subject inside out, has a good grasp of human biology but he's witty, funny, personable, watchable etc

Unlike Claire Balding who should be taken out and shot for getting overly excited by Sophie Christiansen (equestrian gold), who has a fairly obvious form of cerebral palsy and announcing "she's not just just {obvious gap of words} she's got a masters in mathematics, she's intelligent too".

OP - many people in the public eye have to deal with stalkers. Semetimes it's just scary, sometimes it's dangerous. Makes it desperately unfunny to talk about attacking celebrities - even in jest.

As a broader point, I think C4 has done a fabulous job with their coverage. The flip side of the depth and breadth of their informative coverage is that I just keep bursting into tears.

I love Clare Baldings commentary - haven't found her condescending in the slightest. Expressing amazement that anyone has a masters in maths is fairly normal for a non-mathematician isn't it? I'm an finance director and would be a millionaire if I had a £10 for every person who has gasped and said "oh you must be soooo clever, I'm so rubbish at maths" despite the truth that accountancy involves little more than adding up and taking away.
