Right, in three easy (hopefully!) steps:

1. type two opening square brackets: [ [ (without the spaces)
2. then press the 'enter'/'return' key
3. then type two closing square brackets: ] ] (without the spaces)

It should look like this:
[ [
] ]
(again, without the spaces)

The double square brackets are used to turn whatever is inside the brackets into a link, so if you just press 'enter', nothing will show up.
