To want the neighbour to stop her relatives from parking in my parking spot?

A few years ago, the neighbour demanded that I park on his side of the road to prevent double parking. We called him 'Scotch Git Man' because he was Scottish and was a git.

I parked my car in front of his daughter's car and have been parking there ever since.

SGM has died recently (few weeks ago) and his wife and this daughter have been having relatives to stay and they've been taking my parking spot Hmm There are other places for them to park - a few metres along the street.

The other day I parked behind the daughter's car and saw her glaring at me through the window Hmm

She knows that's my parking spot. She's a git too.

I don't want to park up the street, as I don't want her to get one over on me as she's a git and I don't think gits should get their own way all the time.

AIBU?

My cat stood up to a huge dog the other day.

One of the neighbours has a huge, fluffy, husky type dog only it's bigger than a husky.

Anyway, it takes him for a walk (drags him along) and I actually saw it trying to shag one of the female neighbours he stopped to chat to the other day. We were laughing our heads off in the car whilst ds2 was saying "look, that dog's attacking that woman" Hmm Grin

My cat stood up to this huge, sex crazed beast. Impressive or what? Granted, she was sitting behind a gate, but still, you have to take your hat off to her. She's one mean kitty Grin

Thinking about this. I think you should ask Reality for some tips Grin

I have a better car than the neighbour anyway, hers is blue and mine is green Grin Everyone knows nutters drive green cars, so she'd better wind her neck in Grin

Thank you noqontrol. I did consider saying the roof of the house but thought that might be a bit extreme Grin

Noqontrol · 25/08/2012 21:21

I disprove your theory. I have a blue car and I'm a real bad driver Grin

Noqontrol · 25/08/2012 21:22

Well, the logistics of getting to the roof would be problematic, but it would be damn funny if it was possible.

Wow, how cool is that Maryz, You need one of those hidden, you really do.

HmmThinkingAboutIt · 25/08/2012 21:24

If they were parking in a PRIVATELY owned space, i'd say YANBU.

But since its a public street... Tough Shit.

Sorry.

hiddenhome · 25/08/2012 21:25

ha, ha, ha, that parking system is funny Maryz Grin

Park wherever you damn well please, no-one owns the space directly outside their house unless they have a disabled space or it somehow says it in their deeds. Let them glare all they want. And if you come back to find any damage to your car you'll know where to point the police.
