daddyman we do high five, fist bump, tickle each other's palm, then pull away looking too cool for school! Ds are 4 and 20 months.

I'm a very middle aged teacher; I occasionally give a high one, sometimes a high two (but the work needs to be well above expectations for that), high threes are extremely rare.

I only give a high five to pupils who have finished school and fulfilled their potential.

DD and I are masters of the thumbs up, and I have occasionally found myself doing it to friends, or even once at work.
