they are so blaaaaaand, and nothingy. And whiney....

who actually likes them? Enough to buy their CDs?
The songs arent even catchy at all. Apart from that first one they did, years ago

Was it Noel Gallagher that said, Maroon 5 make music for people who dont really like music. I have to agree

I have never heard of this payphone song

out2lunch · 14/08/2012 21:43

ISpyPlumPie · 14/08/2012 21:43

YANBU - bland, overplayed durge. Ditto Snowpatrol - don't understand why they're so popular either.

icecold · 14/08/2012 21:44

But at least he made some good songs scottish, knob or not Grin

Did maroon 5 do closing ceremony???????

NameChangeGalore · 14/08/2012 21:45

I used to listen to Songs about Jane 24/7. They were good back then.

AlaskaNebraska · 14/08/2012 21:45

Sorry to be an AIBU kill joy but music - as someone once said its like different ice cream flavours, some people like vanilla some dont. So what?

WorraLiberty · 14/08/2012 21:45

Aww for fuck sake!

Now I have that Jagger song going round in my head Angry

scottishmummy · 14/08/2012 21:45

cold play make muzak
angsty rubbish for middle classes
to feel sensitive

MadameCupcake · 14/08/2012 21:46

No I don't think they did the closing ceremony, sorry I was just reiterating what someone else said about why does it bother people so much if they like different stuff.

I think coldplay are quite bland but like one or two songs, a whole gig would bore me.

It would be boring if everyone liked the same music!

cornybootseeker · 14/08/2012 21:47

are they american?

usualsuspect · 14/08/2012 21:47

I have moooooooooooooooove like Jagger as my ring tone Grin

icecold · 14/08/2012 21:50

Euuuuurgh srirach....horrid! He just looks such a arrogant poser!

Noel for me, thanks

icecold · 14/08/2012 21:52

See, I'm not convinced the tinkly whiney sound they make is music, is it?

OP posts:
OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 14/08/2012 21:53

That maroon 5 hit years ago was very rude. It was played on the radio and no one seemed to notice Grin

cornybootseeker · 14/08/2012 21:54

I noticed Wink

OlympiaMumsnet · 14/08/2012 21:57

I will not have a word said against Moves Like Jagger
Tis one of DS1's favourite songs
Along with the babadeepbaba song (olly murs - the SHAMEBlush)

NicholasTeakozy · 14/08/2012 21:57

They're blander than a greige thing. Much prefer old stuff like Fatima Mansions. Love a bit of righteous anger. :)

MadameCupcake · 14/08/2012 22:09

Which bit was rude? I must have completely forgotten about that and downloaded to DSs ipod yesterday. Must listen to it again!

doublevodkaandcoke · 14/08/2012 22:11

MrsDeVere do you mean 'This Love' where he talks about 'keep her coming every night' and 'sinking my fingertips into every inch of you' - that was so rude, I noticed too!

Muse are so NOT overrated. I saw them live once and they were fucking amazing!

MsNobodyAgain · 14/08/2012 22:12

How very dare you. My PFB did her dance test to 'Moves Like Jagger'. She passed everyone passes but really she can mooooove.

'Payphone' is DS2s favourite song.

So I disagree. Obviously.

scottishmummy · 14/08/2012 22:14

i like mooove like jagger

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 14/08/2012 22:21

Yeah. I was like 'have they listened to this'
I didn't know they did the moves like jagger song
I am so not down wiv the kidz

Gunznroses · 14/08/2012 22:23

Im on a payphone
Trying to rush home
All of my change ive spent on you,
If happy ever after did exist, ill be stuffing a massive pizza like this
All the stores completely out of it.......

I'll stick to my day job, but luurve Maroon 5, and that skinny Adam Levine! Wink

SrirachaGirl · 14/08/2012 22:24

'Harder to Breathe' is a bit very rude too. I think that might be part of the appeal Blush.

ScooseLooseAbootThisHoose · 14/08/2012 22:25

Couldn't give a flying gig about the music but Adam Levine is fit!!
