to wonder what sort of knickers you wear?

I spend a lot on bras - usually Agent Provocateur, expensive but so worth it - but am then persuaded how lovely it would be to have the matching silk thong/briefs. I then don't wear them because I am more comfortable in the old faithful cotton high waisted knickers......

So what do you do - go for comfort or glamour, and what about VPL, or does anybody go commando? Does anybody actually find thongs comfortable?

Sorry if this is a bit kinky for a Saturday afternoon but i am genuinely interested. I would like comfort AND glamour. AIBU to wonder if this is actually achievable?

I used to wear sexy knickers - low rise boy shorts mainly - but bought huge, granny pants to wear post cesarean (have had 3 now) and have got rather attached! I'm sure other ladies who have had sections will agree that anything other than a high waist band gets right in your scar and whilst it doesn't hurt nice you're healed, it doesn't feel quite right either.

once you're healed

I wear thongs during the day-tend to be lace, from primark or similar. Have to wear knickers in bed at night (as tell myself I might have to evacuate in a fire etc!) and they are generic pack of 5 briefs, as comfier when wriggling around in my sleep.

rogersmellyonthetelly · 11/08/2012 19:37

I wear comfy cotton knickers. I find thongs are instruments of torture as I have some post childbirth damage down there and they rub horribly. I do have 2 matching bra and knicker sets, but only wear them for special occasions like meals out etc and I abandon the itchy lacy ones in favour of my granny pants at the soonest available moment!

madmomma · 11/08/2012 19:49

ye olde cotton briefs. The older the better cos they're nice + soft so they don't make my cs scar itch.

NumericalMum · 11/08/2012 19:55

I like no vpl thongs but any with seams "down there" rub my episiotomy scar terribly. I like t shirt bras so seldom have matching ones other than for perhaps once a year!

Itsgottabebags · 11/08/2012 19:58

M and S ultimate knickers are good everyday knickers and Fantasie Savannah shorts (lacey and covers everything that needs covering)

Nuckinfutter · 11/08/2012 20:15

3monkeys3 you just wrote my post for me - same goes for bikini bottoms, they irritate my scar too, so can't wear them either and it's 23 years since my last CS :(

Mia4 · 11/08/2012 22:53

Thongs mainly, i find other pants uncomfortable. I do like french knickers as well.

On a TMI note (especially as i know usually it's the opposite) since i switched to thongs mainly fie years ago I've had no thrush at all, i used to have it once a month without fail when i wore boy shorts or full knickers-don't know why.

FrankieMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 11/08/2012 23:09

Commando or Boy Shorts............... Smile

When I do wear them I really love the Boy Shorts style....

Peeenut · 11/08/2012 23:52

The Tesco shorts that Dawndonna linked to on page 1. I started buying them last year and hope they continue to sell them for ever. They're light and comfy but don't bunch up in the way that some other shorts do on me.

eurochick · 11/08/2012 23:53

I mostly try to match knicks and bra, but am a big fan of M&S Brazilian boy shorts.

nittyclitty · 12/08/2012 08:49

Thongs Shock I thought they were a passing phase in the 90's. I really think they are the ugliest things even on the most pert of bottom.

I have worn most of them over the years either going for a sexy look or comfort. The pants that have been closest to providing both have been brazillians. Bit more like normal pants but with a lacy cut that shows of your bum nicely.
Tried to match but that never work due to the limited choice of matching knickers. I am more particular about the style of bra (Only a 36c but I seem to fall out of most styles or my rather prominent nipples show through).

sounds like you're in the wrong size. Try a 34d/E and see what happens Smile

@Crossdresser

Whatever turns you on. Plenty of sites out there for all predilections so why pitch on a parenting site?

AlmostAJillSandwich · 31/01/2018 23:46

Plain white cotton high legs from matalan. Decently wide gusset, 5 pack for £5. Unstable bladder and IBS don't allow for anything but a full knicker as liners or towels are needed daily. I do have "fancy" stuff for special occasions, not that one has cropped up yet!
