No, I do not like his garden it's small.

Does the reason matter?

Surely they must be naked, if not bonking al fresco, otherwise why would she bother?

kinkyfuckery · 07/08/2012 23:36

Of course it fucking matters.

If you were looking for a ball that got thrown over, YANBU. If you were looking for a missing child/cat/dog, YANBU. If you were looking because you are a nosey bastard, YABU.

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 07/08/2012 23:36

Maybe he does have a fucking dungeon. Confused

And yes OP the reason matters muchly!

LolaThePregnantFlyola · 07/08/2012 23:37

were you looking for your child at their sleepover with the parent you don't know because the parent you do know went out?

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 07/08/2012 23:38

Of course it matters, it's not just next door, it's round the corner.

Whereabouts are you OP? Hmm?

Minshu · 07/08/2012 23:38

Argh! A former neighbour of mine did this. Do you make inane chatter, "enjoying a beer in the sun, are you?" or " reading a book?". I would think twice about venturing into my own garden.

yanbu, as this is obviously the done thing...

ScrambledSmegs · 07/08/2012 23:38

Actually yes. Because I think he probably does have a right to privacy on his own property, and you standing on a chair to have a good old nose violates that.

You'd have to have a really good reason to be so intrusive. If this isn't a joke of course...

lastSplash · 07/08/2012 23:38

Do you stand on the chair for hours staring at them in their garden without saying a word, just smiling in a slightly crazy way OP?

If so you are being a little unreasonable.

PissyDust · 07/08/2012 23:39

Yes the reason matters!!

drtachyon · 07/08/2012 23:40

Unless you've got a very good reason, then yes, standing on a chair so that you can look into a neighbours garden is definitely unreasonable and intrusive.

HappyAsChips · 07/08/2012 23:40

Is this a joke? Why would you be standing on a chair looking into your neighbour's garden? Weird.

HarrietSchulenberg · 07/08/2012 23:40

It must be something really thrilling if you can be bothered to fetch a chair to look in.

When my neighbours used to shag in their garden I used to use the children's ELC binoculars to try to get a view. Perhaps you could try them. Or Klad's periscope for a more subtle approach?

(FWIW I never caught sight of the shaggers. They used to do it by the shed or just inside the patio doors so I couldn't see properly. They were so loud I felt obliged to make sure they weren't in some sort of joint cardiac arrest situation).

Tiredmumno1 · 07/08/2012 23:40

There's always a reason as to why we do things, so yes it matters

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 07/08/2012 23:40

You'd need at least binoculars AND a chair to see into a dungeon round the corner.

Chrishassix · 07/08/2012 23:40

No, not a joke.

They have a barky dog, I'm trying to establish a pattern of behaviour before i phone the council.

WorraLiberty · 07/08/2012 23:41

Does the reason matter?

Well yes and no really

But I should add it could be the only chance you get on this thread to not make yourself look like a complete knob Grin

I'm not rushing off to the bookies though...

Kladdkaka · 07/08/2012 23:41

The dog is probably barking at the nutter it sees looming over the fence.

usualsuspect · 07/08/2012 23:41

MN is fucking bonkers tonight Grin

I kinda like it though.

WorraLiberty · 07/08/2012 23:42

And do you have to see the dog bark to know that the dog is errrr....well you know barking?

FannyFifer · 07/08/2012 23:42

What the actual fuck is wrong with you, of course it's not an ok thing to be doing. Hmm

Minshu · 07/08/2012 23:42

Wouldn't the pattern of behaviour be the times? Why do you need to see?

WorraLiberty · 07/08/2012 23:42

Kladd Grin

ExitPursuedByAGoldenBear · 07/08/2012 23:42

What Kladdkaka said. If someone peered over my gate my dog would bark.
