I have never started a thread before, then I was watching the telly tonight and thought, 'i bet someone on mn is also finding this documentary interesting, shall I find out?'

So I dared myself to start a thread in TellyAddicts, and Lo! it became 'most active'

AIBU to be very proud of this?

I think my own commentary posts may have nudged it over the line though...

Bet this one bombs....

How do you all decide what to read then?

MrsRhettButler · 07/08/2012 22:54

I was in the talk round up once it wasn't about my thread but apparently my comment on someone elses thread was hilarious

Anyway, I digress, whats the 'thing' ??

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 07/08/2012 22:54

But I know the Thing Grin

JollyHockeyStick · 07/08/2012 22:55

Most Active doesn't appear on the mobile site. I read threads I'm on and Active.

MrsRhettButler · 07/08/2012 22:55

Yes, explain that. Line runner please don't fuck off without explaining the 'thing'

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 07/08/2012 22:56

What's the thing? Is it vile?

LineRunnerSpartanNaked · 07/08/2012 22:57

It's not pretty. Or clever.

noelstudios · 07/08/2012 22:57

Thanks everyone. This is actually they best thing to happen to me for ages. I will tell DH as soon as he gets in from work. He will be certain I have gone mental.

I know, wtf am I doing going for AIBU next? It all went to my head and I got overexcited....

10lb in a week. Nice one.

I dream of a talk-round up! I'm pleased when a thread I've read is in there.

I can't believe I thought I learn spreadsheets on my mat leave, should have realised that the true aim of mat leave is mn...

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 07/08/2012 22:58

Does it involve your botty?

noelstudios · 07/08/2012 22:59

What is the thing? Have about 2 stone to lose...

OP posts:
MsVestibule · 07/08/2012 22:59

noqontrol. I'm pleased you asked...

I weighed 10.5 stones but needed to be under 10 stone or under to fit into my ballgown for a special event. This is how I did it:
Day 1 - fruit only (no bananas, or other "filling fruit")
Day 2 - veg only (no potatoes) but for tea, you could have a large baked potato with real butter - highlight of the week, that was.
Day 3 - fruit and veg (see above restrictions)
Day 4 - 4 bananas and skimmed milk
Day 5 - 3 chicken breasts and veg
Day 6 - 3 steaks and unlimited tomatoes
Day 7 - brown rice and veg
You found also have a can of veg soup per day. If somebody had eaten my soup, I would have killed them. Unfortunately I had three 3 course meals in the next 7 days and put 7lbs straight back on, but I looked fecking gorgeous in my ballgown Wink.

noelstudios · 07/08/2012 23:01

Need a fat raft of things over here.

OP posts:
PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 07/08/2012 23:02

Ooo harsh. Bet it did involve botties on banana day.

MrsRhettButler · 07/08/2012 23:02

Hmm, sounds good. I shall save that for when I need to lose weight in a week. Thank you MrsV :)

noelstudios · 07/08/2012 23:03

Good lord.

OP posts:
LineRunnerSpartanNaked · 07/08/2012 23:05

Well, there's MsVestibule's vegetable-based lovely diet Thing.

My Thing involves the storyine of a Viz comic.

PlaguegroupGermnastics · 07/08/2012 23:07

Is it the rancid tuna fish and raw egg diet? I hear it works wonders in the short term but the side effects are not desirable. Grin

Noqontrol · 07/08/2012 23:08

Dammit, how can I do that when I don't eat meat? Now I'm Envy unless you know of a non meat eating alternative?

< hopeful> Grin

MsVestibule · 07/08/2012 23:08

Harsh doesn't begin to cover it! I'm normally hopeless at dieting, so I was amazed at my willpower. I will confess to drooling like a dog when somebody brought doughnuts into the office. One unexpected positive side effect was that a couple of weeks later, my skin was glowing.

I don't recall any, ahem, bottom trouble. That was 10 years ago and I just haven't been able to bring myself to do it again. But in an emergency diet situation, it really, really works.

noelstudios · 07/08/2012 23:09

Fuck loads of quorn on days 5&6?

OP posts:
PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 07/08/2012 23:09

Ooo viz thing! Must know!

JarethTheGoblinKing · 07/08/2012 23:11

I neeeed to know what the thing is!

LineRunnerSpartanNaked · 07/08/2012 23:12

To be honest, it involves replacing of all mentions of fruit and vegetables with alcohols from Days 1-5, and getting lost in the hills for the other 2 whilst thinking you're a bit part in Dog Soldiers screaming There is no Spoons.

Weight loss per person = 10lb minimum.

The Dog Soldiers Diet.

FeakAndWeeble · 07/08/2012 23:16

You're in most active again OP Wink

Noqontrol · 07/08/2012 23:19

Line Runner, I'm tempted. I suspect i would even enjoy it. But that aint an option for me right now Grin
Noel, thats an option, but Im not sure if it would work in the same way.
Im going on a 3 day detox smoothie only diet next week. If I lose shed loads of weight at the same time I will report back.
