To want DW to split her own T-bags

JimNastik · 03/08/2012 20:52

Me and DW drink different tea, she has Earl Grey which comes in packs with the T-bags joined together in pairs and it pisses me off that she does not split them so when I come to make a cup of tea I usually have to split them

When I get T-bags joined together I split them all and put them neatly in my little tea caddy

AIBU to want her to split them?

Its the little things that make me cross
She does not fold the end of the toilet paper into a neat triangle after a shit
If she gets the milk off the doorstep she does not wipe its bottom when she puts it in the fridge
She never pulls the bedroom curtains on when she gets up last
When she sets the table she always puts my knife and fork on the wrong way round
She has never emptied the crumbs out of the toaster(I am not going to empty it and see what she says when it catches fire)
She never rinses out the bath after using it
I could go on

Am I being taken for granted?

A custard!

:o

Wonderful.

FelicitywasSarca · 03/08/2012 21:02

I've git some bad news for you Jim. In my house we don't even have a loo roll holder, never mind fold the ends.

gobbledegook1 · 03/08/2012 21:03

You remind me of myself! My DP says I am OCD - I'm not I just like things to be done a certain way though I would draw the line at folding the toilet paper!!

On the whole YANBU!

JimNastik · 03/08/2012 21:05

OK I lied about the toilet paper. I only said that to make a dull thread more exciting

So take me out and shoot me

Leave the bitch!!! Grin

BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 03/08/2012 21:07

Jimbo I am going to shoot you because now I am craving custard pie.

I am on a diet Angry

Redbindy · 03/08/2012 21:08

Does she leave the toilet seat down?

MoonlightandRoses · 03/08/2012 21:08

Well, given the frozen peppers, and getting the dancing in just a bow-tie in hopes of a quickie turned down, I'm afraid, yes, so far, this thread is not up to your usual standard. Grin

Still, given the topic, then YABU - just look on it as a time saver. Use both tea-bags when making her tea, but only leave them in half as long and re-use for the next cup.

ivykaty44 · 03/08/2012 21:09

I think your problem is in the bedroom - you need to get a new light fitting and then life will be fine again.

Debeez · 03/08/2012 21:09

YANBU.

Any wife who demands you become a custard for her is asking too much. DP compromises with me by slathering himself in custard and jelly before coitus but I wouldn't ask him to change permanently. Leave the bitch!

Onemorethyme · 03/08/2012 21:11

He's become a custard?

The plot thickens. I hope you get your just desserts.

FelicitywasSarca · 03/08/2012 21:11

Come on Jim, I think you lied a little more than that don't you?

TallDwarf · 03/08/2012 21:14

Is this a reverse AIBU? Confused

FelicitywasSarca · 03/08/2012 21:14

disengage

lisaro · 03/08/2012 21:15

Pulls the curtains on what?

Moln · 03/08/2012 21:15

I think you should get her own caddy and refuse to make her a cup ever again (or if you want to avoid an argument think up loads of exciises at tea making time "Mmmm i think i hear a fox at the bins. You make this cup lov, I'll go check it out" etc)

Either that or switch to loose leaf

ebaymad · 03/08/2012 21:16

I hope you never have real problems...

Imagine if she left the loo pan in a mess Shock

DuelingFanjo · 03/08/2012 21:17

Pulls the curtains on what?

The bloody windows

Are you from Barnsley? Do you have newspaper covering your window?

OP posts:
DuelingFanjo · 03/08/2012 21:18

chortled even!

MrsWembley · 03/08/2012 21:21

Do you mean, draw the curtains?

MrsWembley · 03/08/2012 21:22

Or even (as DP frequently gets pedantic) draw the curtains back?
