To think the Olympic ticket website is pants!?

They display events as available and then when you click on them they don't exist.

When tickets are finally added you spend 5 minutes a time on a "requesting tickets screen" whilst they check if they are available. Then get a "not available screen" even though they are still showing availability.

Why oh why is this website so pathetic? Ticketmaster manage to cope with whole tours selling out in minutes...

I was born in Newham hospital too Rose, so I'm in for a free pass too!

The site is still being crap, but I did console myself with some bargain Paralympic tickets. £30 for 4 of us - can't go wrong!

It's doing my head in! Why are tickets still showing as available over an hour after I first tried to buy some, and was told there were none available.

Come on LOCOG - sort the buggers out, or you'll have more flack on your hands!

I've been on the website constantly for months. My whole life had been welded to the laptop since we didn't receive any tickets in the first 2 rounds. It is so illogical that I'm wondering if all those empty seats are because the website thinks it's sold them to you! It's so unintuitive, unfriendly and cumbersome. Why list the ticket prices from £20 upwards if the only ones available are £495 aaaaargh! Why not have a daily list of returns so we can see what's new and not just the ones that no one can afford (£1500 closing ceremony anyone?) I have ranted to them via emails and apart from an acknowledgement have had no replies. HATE YOU TICKETMASTER!!!!

It's driving me mad. I'm glad it's not just me who can't work the damn thing. I spent hours on it last night, getting so frustrated that it was showing me available sessions and then there were no tickets when I tried to reserve them. It's still showing me exactly the same sessions this morning, over 12 hours later. Why aren't they updating it?

Most frustrating morning trying non-stop only to get the "no tickets available" message. I am giving up now. Fuck the Olympics!

Try the paralympics - we got athletics finals tickets this morning with no problems at all

I've got Paralympics tickets but dd1 is only home for two weeks and I wanted to take her. The Paralymics start after she leaves

All I want is an event in the Olympic Park max. £65 from 5th onwards. Obviously athletics would be fantastic but anything will do.

I have tried Paralympics all morning as well. No luck! I wasn't even going for the cheapest ticket...

The website is driving me effing nuts. Been trying constantly for days. Losing the will to live...

Equestrian tickets came up a while ago - the first time ever! £50 so requested 3. Tickets not available, back page, request tickets, tickets not available, back page, request tickets etc etc x 100. I am seriously driving myself nuts!

Tickets to this session are currently unavailable for one of the following reasons:

Tickets to this event are not on sale yet. Tickets will go on sale at 11.00am 08 June 2012.
This event is no longer on sale.
We are currently completing our nightly maintenance.

They are missing the 4th option - the website is utterly shit.

Ticketmaster seem to do this though. Come back with "tickets unavailable" when what they actually mean is "Website can't cope so we've shoved you out of the queue".

It happens for other things they ticket for too.

I'm the same as you Lee, I just want something in the Olympic Park. Ideally the aquatics centre but I'm not fussy. It's not happening.

I brought athletics and basketball this am for £20 each.. Sorry :)

It's an awful, awful website! But we got lucky at the weekend and managed to pick up two tickets to fencing, gymnastics & canoeing. It was a matter of repeatedly going to The website and trying. Total luck. Those are all cheap tickets by the way accept Gymnastics.

There were lots of Olympic Park events for an hour this morning but now all gone. I went for the £20 athletics tickets, waited 10 minutes then got told not available. Kept trying, now they've all gone. Maybe tomorrow

I know Lee. I was updating it as the site changed and the tickets came on. Still didn't get anything. It's just soul destroying isn't it.

Solde there are still athletics tickets available for the paralympics.

More tickets just came on and disappeared in 5 mins...

You know what, in one way i am quite pleased that people, like myself haven't been able to get tickets for the Olympics.

I think it means more people, like my family will be at the paralympics cheering on the wonderful athletes there.

It's sad the paralympics will not be as big an event - they deserve the same status. Just really gutted I can't go to both.

We have paralympics finals tickets, but I have wasted too much of my life on this website this week trying to get Oly. I know demand is high, but there must be a better way of doing this. Its not just the cheaper tickets. This morning I went for expensive athletics ones within a minute of them coming up available (am robot pressing search every ten seconds) and they were still not available. My DH was simultaneously trying to get them on two other separate accounts - they were still showing as available an hour later.
