This woman, who has suffered the absolute worst loss of any human being, the loss of a child.

This woman, who has maintained such absolute incredible dignity in the face of mind-blowing injustice which had the thugs who killed her son laughing at her as they got off with murder.

This woman, who continued the fight, thus changing the face of the criminal justice system of Britain for the better of all of us.

This woman, who got her justice. And because she did, the rest of us can look our children in the eye and tell them we have faith in our country.

This woman, who has overcome her own natural shyness to become an iconic figure in British history.

This woman, who displayed such poise last night. Her son would have been looking on with pride.

This woman, an inspiration.

Bobyan · 28/07/2012 22:49

Thank God there are some MN's who recognise what she's been through and done. I'm actually feeling very depressed by this whole subject.
Poor Stephen.

FutTheShuckUp · 28/07/2012 22:52

I salute her. Anyone who lives through the grief of losing a child is a hero in my eyes. Those who not only survive but work tirelessly to help make changes to benefit us all is just amazing

IamtheZombie · 28/07/2012 22:53

Thank you for that, Growlithe.

elizaregina · 28/07/2012 22:54

bejeezus · 28/07/2012 22:55

Who better?

Growlithe · 28/07/2012 23:19

I can only hope that those thugs were allowed to watch the opening ceremony. It would surely make up for us all having to witness them swaggering out of court

Standing ovation here. I would give her a Torch but I don't think my phone will allow it.

NicolasGirl · 28/07/2012 23:43
