AIBU to think that you have no right to judge people on benefits

you know, the type who have no intentino of ever working, if you yourself are willing to smuggle too many fags into the country to sell on, leave a restaurant knowing that they forgot to charge you for over £50 worth of drink, dodge a bit of tax.

FWIW, those with no intention of working are playing the system. They could be described as lazy scroungers but it's hardly deceitful.
If you smuggle cigarettes, dodge tax or fail to pay for drinks that is different.
Had you said 'like those who work, pretend not to and claim benefits - I would probably agree with you.

How do you know who to judge nutty
Surely judging is more fun when you don't have all the facts??

KittyFane1 · 26/07/2012 19:38

I should add : Those with no intention of working who are perfectly capable of working

All I am doing now is thinking of words that rhyme with ''judge"

Now I am thinking (in an Alan Partridge voice)

'Judge my fudge budgie, bitch'

And I don't even know why.

I like that ginhag

Budge, Grudge, Nudge,

ginhag · 26/07/2012 19:45

Smudge, trudge. Pudge?

Fuck, is 'pudge' a word?

KatieScarlett2833 · 26/07/2012 19:45

Some one on benefits judged me today, now I come to think...

I'm a "Fucking bitch" and he's "going to put in all my windows"

Another fun day in the madhouse....

ginhag · 26/07/2012 19:46

It's official. ALL '...udge' words look weird.

Report
KatieScarlett2833 · 26/07/2012 19:48

If pudgy is a word then pudge must be too?

ginhag · 26/07/2012 19:48

Feel free to use my newly-coined retort anytime katie. At the very least it would cause confusion...

I't'd have to be "judge my fudge budgie, pudge" Has a ring to it.

Swearing at the customers is vair bad form, even when they try to punch you. Swearing when the customers have been escorted off the premises while having a shaky fag round the back is OK, though.

Those of us not currently on benefits are closer than most people like to imagine. A nasty car smash, a medical diagnosis, a company going bankrupt and you are there. So much of it is luck and nothing else. Good luck to anyone on benefits- I don't know how you do it, it is a truly miserly amount of money.

Yes, twas a bad day, thanks for the manly slap Grin

Normally it's not like that. The vast majority of people are great, just ordinary people having a hard time. The screamers usually have a very good reason for being upset. This one was out his face. He's coming back in tomorrow, hope he's sober and sensible.

I had a good job, well paid. Then "shit" happened and I am really grateful for the benefit system...
Actually the lady at the benefit office pointed out in no uncertain terms that I get 50 pounds... The rest is the children's money. Its up to me to work it out.. So I stick to that. I don't smoke, smuggle fags/booze and the only restaurant I go to is McDonalds now!

is judging people who judge likely to have the same effect of googling google or recycling your recycling bin?
