To complain to the noodle company about what I found in DDs noodles today?

I gave DD some Super Noodles. Blush She loves them and I DO get them sometimes...I cooked them in a clean non stick pan and as soon as I added the water and stirred them this piece of copper coloured metal came out...it was in the bound up hard noodles and as they softened, it emerged.

Its about a cm long...sharp and looks like a staple almost...shall I write and complain? Or forget it? If she'd eaten it it would have or could have hurt her...

THe thing is....anyone could complain about a foreign body in food....in the hope of compensation...but I think they need to check their manufacturing process if things like this are getting in!

Digestive?

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 23/07/2012 21:12

Glad someone else asked that Grin

Dont post the evidence, send a photo, sometimes complaints like this get "lost"

usualsuspect · 23/07/2012 21:17

You need to send a photo of your DD with a sad face holding the noodles.

Krumbum · 23/07/2012 21:18

Do complain. That could have hurt her and they need to check it doesnt happen again.
I've complained in resturants. But never had a problem with other things. Cafe rouge gave me still frozen chicken once! They weren't sorry enough lol Angry

I suspect that the unintellible word was digestive. The proximity of the letters on the keyboard to that gives a clue.

I got a bit of snap off blade in a sandwich from a motorway service station once. They sent me a £10 book voucher :(

KissMyEmbroideryHoop · 23/07/2012 23:43

thanks chaps...except for you ...the one who scaremongered about noodles and the Dufedtvr system. Angry Don't make me google!

I have emailed them about it...I will come back when they get in touch with my years supply of noodles. Which I want...and I won't stop until I get. Grin

yy. UsualSuspect is right.

You need a photo of your DD holding the packaging and the object, looking sad and slightly frightened.

In fact, you could set up a blog and post pictures of the whole family looking outraged, even the dog.

Then tweet the noodle company with link to the blog.

TheEternalOptimist · 24/07/2012 00:17

(sorry, forgot to say YANBU - they need to know if there is something wrong with their machines, and it could ahve hurt your DD if you hadn't noticed)
