Slightly off topic, but what's the deal with LSL? I know who she is, but I wish to know more about her 'dark' side...

I watched that awful ITV programme with Gino and Mel today because Claire was on it. when I saw her I thought Oh wowshe looks fab.I was secretly overjoyed she had stuck to the promise she made herself at the end of the documentary where she stated she was happy with her weight.

Claire shall lose her weight or put weight on if she wants to. It is her body and life. Anything else is either intrusive or spite.

Yes solesource - as a size 10 all of my life, I get called skinny at least once/week. I have never called anyone fat, I wouldn't dare, not many people would except on this thread!!

It bugs the hell out of me. Eat healthily and excerise - guess what, you stay slim!!! The people who scornfully call me skinny do neither of those but wish they were thin. Grrrrrr!!

not every fat person has a thyroid issue - Claire R has admitted she is addicted to food.

I really thought it was the dress that made her look fat but having seen the other pics of her, it's not just the dress.

Not necessarily. I am pretty much the same weight and size as her and it's entirely down to comfort eating my way through an abusive marriage and divorce. I was quite slender in my younger days

I too am addicted to food. I went to an Overeaters Anonymous meeting last week. It was strange and I didn't go back but I can't stop thinking I should. I have just started to take St John's Wort and already after ten days I feel different and food intake has reduced. I wonder if Claire might try it.

I would be very surprised if anyone was really happy being that overweight though.

Not because of the reaction of the male or female 'gaze', because aesthetically we can all look how we like and it shouldn't matter. But because (speaking from my own experience) being significantly overweight is not only bad for your health, but it feels bad for your health as well.

Since piling it on, as I said upthread, my joints are achey and strained, my back hurts, I find it harder to get around quickly, I get out of breath more easily, I have horrible rashes etc that I never used to get. Quite frankly it scares the hell out of me, which is why I am now doing something about it.

I can't believe it's massively different for other very overweight people? I think it's great that she can say that it doesn't matter, if it really doesn't, but I can't believe she feels in physically great shape.
