to feel that I should cancel our holiday to Majorca in October of this year?

I have so far paid around £700.

I have not even applied for our passports yet.

I really should have started to lose weight in January of this year when I booked the holiday. I am still weighing over twenty stones. How the hell will I fit my fat arse on the plane and people hate fatties on planes.

I have a severly disabled SN DS aged thirteen. I am dreading the stares and comments from other families at the hotel/resort. We haven't been together on an aeroplane before.

I will die of shame being so fat, not being able to go swimming or wear decent clothes as cannot afford to buy any.

I am anxious about paying the remainder of the holiday price and that is due this Friday. £520 I can pay it but we shall be skint for two weeks thereafter. I have no suitcases or clothing yet or spending money.

I haven't called the booking agent yet to find out how much £ I shall lose or get back.

Just to add - go have a fab time and come back with memories of a fab holiday! if you want to lose some weight before you go, have a go, but don't beat yourself up over it - you've already lost some didn't you say so focus on that. If it helps when I was thin (all those years ago....) I had just as many hang ups about my body as I do now I'm bigger....... And we flew long haul last year and opposite us was a family with a SN child and he was fab, he made my flight for me as his excitement gave me permission to be excited too - we spent ages talking to each other along the lines of 'Oh wow - have you seen this out of the window!', and getting all excited about take off and landing!

We had an evening flight back from our holiday - we paid an extra 25 euros and could keep our room until we caught the coach to the airport at 1800, and could use all of the hotel facilities.

It was worth doing.

Have a lovely holiday, if anyone deserves some time away it sounds like you!

You will definitely be able to use the hotel facilities all day on the day of departure. The hotel will have a baggage room for your cases. See it as a bonus day.

What is the name of your hotel? We went AI earlier this year to Majorca and had a great time.

You'll have a great time. I wouldn't give a teeny tiny rats arse about what anyone thought. Go and enjoy yourselves. Use the time from now until then to get fitter and lose a little weight if that will make you feel more confident. And remember, big is beautiful, it really is.

This has probably been said in the responses, but don't ever let anyone else make you feel bad. Whats that quote about people can only let you feel inferior with your consent.

I say, Go, have a great time and from now till then eat less and do more!
