Bit of a cheek maybe since I'm new around here but I really have taken an irrational dislike to it. I think it's becasue its a take off of another logo and so not original. When it was first used the joke was probably quite funny, but now...

It doesn't help that I've spent long minutes gazing at it while waiting for pages to load. Is Mumsnet always this slow?

So the concensus is Tits, wine and vipers yes? Why can't we have Medusa with a bottle of wine in one hand and a tit in the other?

Cremolafoam · 14/07/2012 22:57

Titter snurk fnawWink

EclecticShock · 14/07/2012 22:58

Yes... Strap line is by parents for parents or something similar, but it's called mumsnet! Please can it be changed to something more inclusive? I won't hold my breath...

OlympicRingSting · 14/07/2012 23:20

How do you block ads? And I agree with OP, it is old fashioned.

VolAuVent · 14/07/2012 23:24

YANBU. It looks like a jazz band playing Twister.

TheMightyMojoceratops · 14/07/2012 23:29

Logo is... less than optimal, to borrow a friend's phrase. Some nice texty thing around MN would be preferable from my p.o.v.

RichTeas · 14/07/2012 23:32

I like the logo. It's different from all those uber-stylised logos that are everywhere now. It's distinctive and funny. Nothing wrong with it. Keep it.

ValentineBombshell · 14/07/2012 23:42

It looks like a scarab beetle. Did Justine draw it herself?

katykuns · 15/07/2012 00:23

VolAuVent - I laughed so loud I startled my 9wk DD haha

SecretPanelInTheLibrary · 15/07/2012 18:03

I've never really noticed it until now. It's odd-looking.

MsOnatopp · 15/07/2012 18:47

YANBU. I've been here a good few years and the logo is dull, and middle age-y (yes, that IS a description) and all around nafftastic.

I do like MN though.

What were the biscuits originally meant to mean?

flixy102 · 15/07/2012 18:55

The flare/bootleg trousers they're wearing have annoyed me for a while now actually. They should be skinniest or leggings or something like that that I'm too fat to wear myself

smellyolddog · 15/07/2012 19:13

TuftyFinch you get my vote, I'd love to redesign the logo and was thinking the same thing the other day, maybe add in a fuckersnail sliding past and some pombears on offer.

and I second Tuftyfinches idea - Winner also gets a new car. And a dog. (has to be a golden retriever mind)

KissMyEmbroideryHoop · 15/07/2012 19:16

Well the flares are an homage to Charlie's Angels aren't they...from whom MN stole borowed the idea. Here it is iconic image

But considering MN now has it's very own Feminist section, I really DO think it's time they reviewed the logo. Charlie's Angels were twatty really.

Yes they ACTED all tough and everything but really they all cow-towed to a man...and fought in bikini's or whatever instead of something sensible.

WorraLiberty · 15/07/2012 19:26

MN has millions of sections, they can't make a logo to please them all.

flixy102 · 15/07/2012 19:34

I'm not even a mum and I use mumsnet all the time so the logo doesn't represent me, but that's ok.

FurCough · 15/07/2012 19:36

yanbu. It's too fussy and seems to depict a baby with an erection.

KissMyEmbroideryHoop · 15/07/2012 19:36

Yes, yes Worra....I know that and I'm not suggesting they do. But it IS dated. Very early 90s.

SecretPanelInTheLibrary · 15/07/2012 19:36

Kiss, thanks for that, I was scratching my head wondering what it reminded me of.

WorraLiberty · 15/07/2012 19:38

Anyway Brave heart fought in a pleated skirt Grin

rainydaysarebad · 15/07/2012 19:39

When I first saw it, it looked like soldiers with helmets on pointing guns in the air. Then I looked closely after a few weeks and they were women with babies putting on make up.
