Ok I'm back. UGH! This mattress is mere months old, always has two sheets on it and we're a bath before bed kinda family. Either we shed like reptiles or this is normal. Once a week job from now on.

A friend of mine hoovers her carpets, curtains, bed, dog and decking.

I notice nobody is contemplating hoovering the cat! Grin

I used to work for a company who sold vacuums and part of the demo was to go over the mattress and open the black cloth over the outlet pipe.

The stuff that came off was disgusting.

Okay I did it. Is it supposed to look chalky like that . Wasn't as much as I was expecting after 3 years butI will keep it clean now every time I change the sheets. Yuck.

I vacuum my mattress from time to time. It's a good way of reducing the bedbug and dust load.

My MIL sends FIL up twice a year to vacuum the loft. Now that's bonkers.
