My DM's H's (John) family are having a party this evening for his DB's engagement. Now while I quite like his DB, I absolutely can't stand his DM (Ruth). At all. I find her really annoying, and before my DM was pregnant she tried to act like our (Dsis' and I) GP, but now EVERYTHING is about this pregnancy. I'm not happy about my DM being pregnant at all and would rather not discuss it, thanks, but I couldn't possibly tell her that otherwise it'd upset her!

To give you some background information, I blame her for the break up of my parents. My GM told me that John had gone to Ruth, while my DM & DF were still together, to ask what he should do because he liked my DM. She told him to go for it!!! I'm sorry but you don't tell a young man of 20-21 to go after a MARRIED woman 10 years older no matter if she was having trouble in her marriage! To me that just makes her an immoral
fucking bitch who has NO RIGHT to see me.

However, I can't confront my DM over this because she is not approachable at all... in the 9 years that my DM & Luke have been married my ability to talk to her has completely fizzled out. So I can't tell her why I don't like Ruth or even explain my feelings.

I know this was a long irrelevant post but I am in desparate need for some advice! I don't even sound like an adult, God. So... AIBU, and if so what do I do?

But if John and Luke are the same person, it sort of makes sense. As much as family sagas like this ever do. OP, honestly I do sympathise... in my extended family, there was a John who ran off with Luke's wife Naomi, and Luke retaliated by shacking up with Naomi's daughter-in-law Ruth who was Joen's twin sister...

glad we cleared that up.

I vote that you ask the three wise men for guidance! All sounds very confusing - are you very young?
