Over 17, yes, 17 separate products were missing from my internet shop because 'no appropriate substitutions (was) available.' Which left me about 25 items short on my shopping.

These elusive items included such rare delicacies as MILK, CHEDDAR and GRAPES.

I stopped using Asda on line because it ended that they hardly had anything in, four weeks in a row they had no bacon! And bread was another one they usually didn't have, and as for their substitutes, most weeks they went back. Whereas with Tesco's I don't often get substitutes because every things in and when they are it's usually sensible. Plus I can usually get a delivery slot at 9.00pm for the next day. I guess it depends where you are.

I used Asda line this week first time in ages. DIet lemonade substituted with bubblegum pop! Just wouldn't work as a mixer in the same way.

I used ASDA after saying I never would again. They were ok, and to be honest it was me not reading things properly this time! I got mini cokes instead of full size, long foil instead of standard that fits in the drawer, and one food substitution which was magnums instead of caramel ice cream lollie things. Oh and I ordered trilogy of Mr Grey and they only sent the third one. So I sent that back, not much use really.

Not sure they are always good value either so have switched to Sainsburys. Free delivery tues, weds, thus for orders over £100 and hourly delivery slots - and more importantly no silly substitutions!

I've always used ASDA, never had any problems. I had one order where they had no beans apparently, but not really an inconvenience.

The only substitute I've sent back was a where a 700g pack of beef mince had been subbed for a 450g pack of lean steak mince. Again it wasn't an inconvenience to me I just didn't want it.

I have found that if I book for example a 9am-11am slot and I have quite a few frozen food items it's usually delivered within the first 30-40 minutes of the slot.

The mince I wanted was the smaller pack of steak mince. I kind of messed that post up too much Wine. Which incidentally was on my delivery this week!
