To be nervous about taking my kindle on holibobs?

What do other kindle owners do about holidays? On the one hand it would be nice to download a couple of books to take on holiday but on the other hand will I be nervous about it getting to get nicked every time I go in the pool/swimming pool? Am I being ridiculous? Does everyone take them???

NB also avoid putting your kindle on your lounger under your towel to keep it out of sun (dunno why really, I doubt they melt) and then forgetting and sitting on your towel. It might result it you seeing pretty pixelated patterns where the words should be.

On the upside though the nice people at Amazon let me have a replacement for £50.

Don't inadvertently drape a towel over in on your sun lounger then accidentally kneel on it like my DSis did.

I used mine on the beach. Got a bit sandy but it all came out.

I recommend finding some fiction set in the locale where you're staying. Means you can lose yourself in a book while not detaching completely from your surroundings.

Always take my Kindle on my holibobs.

I don't have a Kindle anymore but my iPad always goes on my holibobs with me. In fact, I wouldn't consider it a proper holibob without it.

You can read a kindle in the bath. I have a waterproof cover/bag for mine which i got for about 4 pounds on amazon.
