Well if your all up anyway does anyone want to entertain my 4 week old son who is wide awake? He's not crying, doesn't need feeding, he's just chuntering to himself on my lap ( doesn't like to be put down)?

Meglet · 27/06/2012 23:55

On the sofa after a couple of hours on-line OU work and just popped by to see if I'd missed anything.

Off to bed now though.

BenjiAndTheTigers · 27/06/2012 23:56

It's 8.50 am here

Noqontrol · 27/06/2012 23:56

Where are you Benji?

ceeveebee · 27/06/2012 23:58

An a night person, can never go to bed before midnight, which is a bit shit as I have to get up with the DCs at 630ish.

sensuallettuce · 27/06/2012 23:58

Can I have a brief synopsis of the free child are thread plse as can't be arsed to read it myself Grin

NormaStanleyFletcher · 27/06/2012 23:59

Back home from leaving do beers after work. Need to wind down, especially after bloke vomiting in train carriage on the way back

Doingakatereddy · 28/06/2012 00:00

DH away & MIL wouldn't leave until she'd seen the fucking football so thus us my first chance to relax all day.

giraffesCantFitInThePalace · 28/06/2012 00:01

Not late to me.

Am watching big brother a highly serious documentary and enjoying some vodka to unwind as was in picu with a very special wee girl today.

giraffesCantFitInThePalace · 28/06/2012 00:01

norma yuuuck

NormaStanleyFletcher · 28/06/2012 00:03

It was nasty. I had to move carriages before he set me off...

Fedupnagging · 28/06/2012 00:06

Would love to cuddle a 4 week old baby -broody but far too old emoticon- I do miss those years although not the sleepless nights. Grin

Free child care thread - in a nutshell, poster is a nanny whose friend asked for free childcre as a favour on op's morning off. Upon learning that op had errands to run and would be taking the child along, seriously got the hump and said she wouldn't be doing a good enough job Shock.

General MN consensus is to tell friend to take a hike, which has been done - far more politely than suggested however. We are all eagerly awaiting results.

Sorry not as brief as intended!

Frakiosaurus · 28/06/2012 00:08

Cos DS isn't sleep! Annoying as I only finished my very urgent peace of work at 2.49am precisely, cleaned my teeth and he woke which means I now have to resettle him.

And it's even later for me - just gone 3am.

Sorry spuddy :( sounds like you had a shit day.

mummylin2495 · 28/06/2012 00:11

because i have been over my dd,d house as it was the eve of my gd prom night and i wanted to take some photos of her before she went off. Then the rest of us had fish and chips and chatted until quite late so have not been back that long and need to catch up on a few things !!

AdventuresWithVoles · 28/06/2012 00:11

Cos I had red wine on a near empty stomach, I reckon when the tipsiness wears off it leaves me rigidly awake, rather like cafffeine. I never blardy learn... Angry

And DS12 had a massive sulk earlier, about everything in the house & in his life being rubbish, all because I banned him from riding a time trial on tri-bars.

Downnotout · 28/06/2012 00:13
Sad

And so have opened a nice Marlborough Sauvignon, and intend to finish it.

AdventuresWithVoles · 28/06/2012 00:14

Oh, and got back out of bed because I am completely rubbish with mobile phones & was struggling to figure out how to buy a Vodaphone Freebie pack using existing call credit but I finally cracked it -- did it on the phone & not online which was turning out to be impossible. I would literally have been in tears earlier this evening from frustration but for the red wine blunting emotions.

So relieved but still annoyed that I couldn't do the simplest techie thing.

AdventuresWithVoles · 28/06/2012 00:16

Now, Now, DownNotOut, now I've blithered someone else has to in reply. You have to spill your guts a bit more than that. Perhaps once the Sauvignon (who can actually spell that correctly) has gone down, you'll elaborate?

mummylin2495 · 28/06/2012 00:18

hello to Fletch [ waves ]
