DS graduated to that eventually. He had a wooden floor in his bedroom so every dummy being launched sounded like he was throwing bricks around

DS1 would only take one sort of dummy and they got discontinued, we never left the house with them and were so careful with the ones we had. There were only 2 very crusty specimens left by the time the dummy fairy came (fortunately this didn't effect the going rate in toys). I remember well the moments of panic when we thought one had vanished.

DS2 has never had a dummy, I'm still scarred for life by the first experience.

Another Avent or nothing here. I don't lose the dummies though, just the plastic lid thingies!

Pelvic - same here. It was a tommee tippee one. I remember them going on ebay for £20+

Jareth - Tommee tippee here too and none of the slightly smaller ones which looked exactly the same from a distance would do. We spent a fortune on dummies that were nearly, but not quite, right!

In our case it was all the local shop had when we got to the stage of needing the crying to stop! Fortunately we picked some up on another emergency dash for friends, who only used 1 of the 4 we got them, while their DC was in hospital, so we got 3 back from them when supplies ran low.

Oh the memories!
