Wwyd?

Has this ever happened on here, I wonder?

If it has to you - what did you do?

Did you confront that person in RL?

Did you just keep quiet and post a few leading messages on mumsnet to make sure you were right?

Or was it just pure coincidence?

I'm just wondering tbh - cant say I've noticed anything about me in particular on here yet

Someone I know in RL consistently uses my life / relationship as an example on here. It used to piss me off but now I just think....get a life Grin

monkeymoma · 22/06/2012 20:14

in what way Dave? how to or how not to?

GnocchiNineDoors · 22/06/2012 20:20

Therr is onl one person I know who seems like a MNer and we are just acquaintances so I never discuss her on the boards. However if she is on here and somehow knows who I am then I would like to do a geniune "you are a brilliant mum to your dds and I will miss yiu and my dd will.miss growing up with your dds when you move away this summer"

The only person I ever 'gossip' about is SIL, however if she uses a forum it simply HAS to be Netmums.

If someone knew me, which would be easy really as I have shared my city, my dds name, my cats names, my own name. Well, I hope theyd say.

Namechanged about 10 days ago - been too scared to post since then! I am convinced I outed myself in real life. I posted something about someones behaviour, and since that day they have really really obviously changed it. To be fair, it was pretty antisocial behaviour. They won't meet my eye when I see them.

Its made me have a rethink of about how I post. All said person had to do was search on my last nickname and they will have found out far too much. But Hay-ho learnt my lesson.

Still love MN!

SuicideBrunette · 22/06/2012 21:00

I have also told my DH he has got it wrong I use Netmums.....

thatisall · 22/06/2012 21:02

I sometimes recognise Mumsnet-isms on Facebook and Twitter and desperately want to say....'you're one of us aren't you!!??' I don't...i just mention my dh, dc etc and if they don't understand what they and wtaf mean then they aren't MNers lol

I outed myself with a post recently. I'd changed some of the details so thought I'd got away with it. Someone posted asking me if I "live in M?" The town I live in starts with M. I have no idea who she is but stayed away for a few weeks and name changed. I love the anonymity!

accountantsrule · 22/06/2012 21:44

Dave good or bad things about you? Although I guess everyone uses RL examples but to constantly use one persons situation on here seems weird! All I can say is you must be very interesting!!!

DaveGrohlsgirl · 24/06/2012 19:50

Sorry, didn't mean to leave it hanging, have crap / virtually non existant internet connection at the moment!!
I am in no way interesting, its just that this persons view of my relationship is a negative one.
Every now and then I come across a comment. It used to make me sad, now I smile.........
Its all about letting things go people Wink

accountantsrule · 24/06/2012 21:11
