If my DH had been in hospital since Mon I would've visited him more than once......

Is it just me or is it a little odd that the Queen has only been to see Philip once since Monday? Confused

Or was that the "official" visit and she gets bundled in the back entrance a couple of times a day Grin.

Seems a little harsh on him otherwise?

(disclaimer - I know there are things happening in Syria and I am worrying about that too :) )

Well the queen was definitely there on wednesday as I saw her & they don't have a separate entrance but two bobbies outside the usual door (work very nearby so have been on royal watch most of the week Grin)

WorraLiberty · 08/06/2012 21:00

He's probably got his lappy in there and she Skypes him every night Grin

sensuallettuce · 08/06/2012 21:01

Do you think she would wear her crown when Skyping? Make the effort no?

lech WOW!!! MNet's very own reporter! What was she wearing? Did she have flowers? Did she look tired?!

Yes, whilst shaking her booty and getting down with one's bad self.

sensuallettuce · 08/06/2012 21:35

He was admitted because the potential for a bladder infection to turn into a severe kidney infection in one of that age, however chipper normally, was quite high.

The duty doctor (one of several local gps in Windsor) would have erred on the sideof caution & got him up to the usual hospital just in case.

I bet a few days of IV antibiotice & fluids & he'll be as outspoken & and twinkly as ever...shame he'll miss his birthday Sad

LaurieFairyCake · 09/06/2012 00:03

Even if she hasn't I don't hold her to a higher standard than the normals.

If my old git of a dh makes it to 91 I wouldn't visit him more than once, he'd be enjoying the peace and quiet - as would I Wink

I'm quite sure I'll be sick of him in 50 years, love him though I do.

If my DH had been in hospital since Monday, Im not sure I would have been able to visit much more than once, I would need babysitters (not easy), a long bus trip or a train journey (expensive) and we couldnt stretch to it finacially! I would of course try my best.

They have adjoining bedrooms - the key is on her side. Ex used to work for Roayalty Protection and has seen for himself.

Mrsjay · 09/06/2012 18:07

I guess she is busy this week and maybe she is going in un noticed or phoning every night , I assume he is getting visitors and she doesnt need to go everyday

petal2008 · 09/06/2012 18:20

The Wessex's probably went in two cars because there were two children in the back in car seats, Sophie was driving and there would have had to be a bodyguard as well who sat in the passenger seat. This would leave no room for Edward so he had to go separately.

Whatever the reason, it's definitely not because Philip actually kicked the bucket earlier in the week. Oh no.

In the elderly uti's can cause confusion and can very quickly develop into pneumonia - as happened to my 89 year old grandfather last year.
