Not naming names but there was a group of people who I haven't seen post for a good few days.

Is it half term or something more sinister...

There are still loads of of regulars around. Its been a busy week for lots of people wracking their brains for things to do with DC on half term etc so not as much time for MNing. I have noticed a lot of new names though this week - loads of new members or a mass name change perhaps, I dunno

Why name change?? Unless for relationships efc.

Some people are missing, but there are zillions of newbies who don't know why we have the . It's like Piccadilly Circus around here now, where as it used to be like a friendly pub

I haven't seen FabbyChic for ages. She was a bit sad, last time I read a post of hers.

There has been a policy of deletions over te poast few months that has been inconsistently applied. I was one of the posters who (I think) caught a bad ball from MN over the Daddas for Convenience debacle. Other posters picked up on other inconsistencies.

MNHQ have tried to keep up, respond, evolve and respond. But there have been some patchy days, to be honest.

Do you have just two half terms in Scotland trinity?

It's whitsun half term in england now - same every year, half term end of October, then one in February, then another beginning of June. Then 5/6 weeks until summer hols.

Hully was here last night - she helped me stop panicking about Croatia. BoF and Stratters have left, hopefully temporarily. I guess other people are in RL somewhere. I've heard it's a scary place.

When do the scottish schools have their summer holidays - it is a lot earlier than england isn't it?

Our summer hols start 3 weeks on friday . 2 weeks tattie holidays in October, 2 weeks at xmas, 2 weeks Easter and a couple of long weekends in between. 7 weeks summer hols this year (usually 6) so back mid August.

Trinity we don't have half term now either - am in NI - midterm in Oct and Feb and summer holidays from 27th June - woo hoo

How can it be butt-kissing if people aren't here to see it? That sounds a bit mean-spirited. I don't know who the familiar names are, but it's natural enough to notice if people who post a lot suddenly don't seem to be around, isn't it?

Yeah, you are a bit get to know all the lovely new folks. It's great to 'talk' to someone you've not come across before.

We tend not to 'do' half terms ( or at least call them that)

We go back mid August, 2 weeks start of October, 2 weeks over Christmas but starting nearer to Christmas Day, a long week in February, two weeks the first two weeks of April, a couple of Monday holidays May/June and then stop last week in June.

That's just where I am. Not everyone has 2 weeks in October.
