To think having to put the heating on in June is crap

Yes I'm going to whine about how cold and wet it's been forever!!!

I turned the heating off about 10days ago, had a lovely warm sunny few days and now I'm back in winter pjs and clothes, heating is on, beautiful summer clothes hanging up looking lovely.

It's still raining and 8oc! Brrrrrrrrr.

I'm tempted to wear all my summer clothes together, just to keep warm!

Heating on in S Wales (AND a fleece). But then its colder IN my house than outside it for a few weeks in the spring and autumn Hmm

Bought new tents yesterday so I can guarantee it'll p*ss down till October.

Buntingbunny · 03/06/2012 20:57

South Midlands, it's not freezing, but it's cold and pissing it down.
Jolly glad I didn't bother buying tickets for the concert tonight. I think there may be a few marques, but......,

Sparklingbunting · 03/06/2012 20:59

Still vile here in Worcestershire. Sad We are going to go to one of the beacon lightings tomorrow so hope it dries up a bit.

Meglet · 03/06/2012 21:00

yanbu. In Hampshire and I have to keep pinging the heating on to take the chill out of the air and get clothes dry on the radiators.

Didn't have to turn in on last week.

billsmill · 03/06/2012 21:05

Ours is on. Sod it, it's freezing and we spent six hours in a cold car today, driving though torrential rain to visit MIL. I deserve heating!

PorkyandBess · 03/06/2012 21:06

I just want winter to come so we can stop being hopeful!

In our village today, they had a huge jubilee party organised and it was a complete washout. Hardly anyone turned up.

Stupid English weather.

no heating on due to cost tbh but thick socks and fleece are on and early night looking tempting. In Glasgow btw.Work tomorrow and can have as much heating on as I want(not me paying)

JobCarHouseNoBaby · 03/06/2012 21:40

Still rather balmy for us on the South coast - no heating on and sleeping with the window open due to heat/mugginess... though I believe it's meant to piss it down rain tomorrow so no doubt I'll be getting the jumpers out again.

dementedma · 03/06/2012 22:00

heating on here tonight in Scotland. Fecking summer...

Brandnewbrighttomorrow · 03/06/2012 22:15

Same temp here today as it was on Christmas day Confused I'm wrapped up in a blanket even with a jumper and jeans on. Brrr!

teanosugar · 03/06/2012 22:21

I'm going to bed now 'cos I can't feel my toes.
I HATE the wind and the rain and being cold, I HATE IT!!!

CremeEggThief · 03/06/2012 22:58

You know, it's actually colder here today than it was on Christmas Day! It's only 6° C here tonight, in County Durham. :(

Shelly32 · 03/06/2012 23:14

We have our log fire going. I hate the cold!!

Shelly32 · 03/06/2012 23:14

I'm in SW England btw

teanosugar · 04/06/2012 10:18

I have the heating on today, I refused to get out of my snuggly warm bed until it was put on - ah, bliss!

Sparklingbunting · 04/06/2012 10:22

Worcestershire calling. We have sunshine. Grin

SkinnyVanillaLatte · 04/06/2012 10:26

DH keeps sneaking it on.
Every time I notice I give him the look and turn it off.

I refuse to give in, in June.

Trouble is that it's still a novelty as we had no heating for many years up till recently,so he's like a small boy with a new toy. Grin

MarquiseOfMelburnia · 04/06/2012 10:31

Tis bright yet chilly in Scotland at the moment, I was hoping to not have to fire up my heating after the heatwave of last week, but that was short-lived.

The worst bit is my gas bills used to go way down during the summer months so that I could lower my monthly payments for a while but there seems little chance of that happening this year yet
Bugger.

marriedinwhite · 04/06/2012 10:33

It isn't raining Smile

PigletJohn · 04/06/2012 10:48

Sun's out.

marriedinwhite · 04/06/2012 10:49

There was just a blast of sunshine Grin - London

Sparklingbunting · 04/06/2012 11:04

Sun has disappeared and it has gone pitch black. Sad

Iteotwawki · 04/06/2012 11:09

South Island, NZ - officially winter, sunny and 13 degrees. However we've acclimatised so we've had the heating on too!
