AIBU about baby and water?

AIBU to be a bit about a woman I was talking to giving newborn baby 3oz of water in a bottle when hungry?

Thanks Truth - my HVs are often woefully udnerinformed though and I tend to trust the combined wisdom of MN and google more

From what I can remember ds had some cooled boiled water from about 4 weeks old as he was ff, only about an 1/2 oz and not to replace milk.
