Glad it's not just me finding it a bit too warm, though seeing as the Irish Sea is only a few hundred yards from me I'm probably in a cooler place than many others. I think it's very variable across UK, so we cannot be sure what others are feeling (Tuesday here was damp and foggy, while the sun did try to burn through around 1700 but didn't manage it... my sister in the Midlands had a very sunny day).
I certainly don't go abroad to stay on the beach (though do remember childhood summers visiting the beach when I lived in Sussex and it was warm but not generally too uncomfortable), and particularly enjoyed holidays to Chicago one November, Canada [Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Niagara Falls] one February and Rovaniemi (Finland, Arctic Circle) one December. I've been to San Francisco, LA and San Diego in November, February, March, and April and only San Diego was too hot for me (in March). San Francisco was very wet one February (second wettest in 100 years) which encouraged me to visit Palo Alto but despite the rain, I enjoyed that visit more than if it had been over 75F all day!
OP, YABU, as not everyone likes it (or can even cope with it) when the temperature goes up. I'm not bothering to convert to centigrade but listening the other evening to WGN, Chicago, and hearing the temperature range they're experiencing (from 40s overnight, to 95 in the day and 60s around 6pm) it made me remember never to go in the warmer months... So hot there at times, it can kill anyone without air conditioning [and the ability to pay their electric bills].
We get sufficient rain for the land to be mostly green and pleasant, plus some warm spells which a large proportion like, but definitely not everyone. How boring if we all had exactly the same preferences!
