To want people to stop moaning about the weather

It only happens a few times of year that we have sunny weather. So enjoy it or get in the shade!

I will moan if I want.

I am a redhead.
I have reynauds syndrome - so I am in pain in the winter.
I have polymorphic light eruptions in the sun.

I need to live underground Grin

GwendolineMaryLacey · 27/05/2012 17:31

Bollocks to that. I am a winter person, I detest the summer and want to hide until it's gone away. I intend to moan until October.

KatieScarlett2833 · 27/05/2012 17:35

I have flu. This weather is torture.

teanosugar · 27/05/2012 17:40

I L.O.V.E it!!
I've sat out in garden for hours every day since tuesday and will be doing for the next week !!!!!

I like the sun and it being reasonably warm but 22C is plenty hot enough for anyone to be able to dress as they like (bikini in garden if that's your thing) without it being too oppressive.

I don't understand how some people's excitement levels rise proportionally with the temperature. It's bizarre.

Spring and autumn are so much better and you just can't beat a really freezing cold bright sunny winter's morning.

In fact, give me a dark stormy winter's night rather than a blazing hot sunny day anytime.

I'm loving it

claireinmodena · 27/05/2012 18:11

YABVU, I live in Italy and it gets to * 40 degrees in the summer. It is also v. Humid and full of nasty mozzies.

You have no right to complain Wink, I, otoh, can moan away as much as I want and I wish I could be in the uk Sad

Rilson · 27/05/2012 18:14

I dont mind it but I dont work so I have the option of sitting outside and turning to Mrs Crispy or sitting indoors with a fan on.

I used to hate being pregnant in this heat and working, then I would moan my arse off and gawd help anyone who tried to stop me.

My favourite is the colder weather.Autumn is my favourite season.

When DS was little he hated all weather, it was either too hot, too cold, too wet, too sunny, too windy etc. Until he was about four I thought there was something wrong with him, we couldn't go out without him whinging about the weather for the first half hour.
Then we moved to the UK, I was faced with an entire nation of DSs and realised that there was nothing wrong with him (per se), it was just his british DNA Grin

Minshu · 27/05/2012 19:03

I would love it, and did enjoy the few days we had, but am now under a sea fret that only extends a few hundred metres inland. It's freezing here, but walked to a nearby friend to enjoy the sun in her garden. Perils of coastal living :)

TroublesomeEx · 27/05/2012 19:55

jazzchicken I have PLE too. It's no fun, is it?!

StarlightMcKenzie · 27/05/2012 19:59

I'm 38 weeks pregnant and sick of people telling me I must be uncomfortable in this heat.

No I'm frigging not. I am warm at last. My bones are no longer chilled. I can function and I have a big lightly tanned belly Grin!

jazzchickens · 27/05/2012 20:01

No FolkGirl - not when you're the only one sat on a beach wearing long sleeves!

To be honest, being as fair as I am, I see it as natures way of telling me to get in the shade. Grin

roundtable · 27/05/2012 20:04

YANBU...I love the sunshine. This is what cats must feel like when they bask in the windows!

Glorious!

HillyWallaby · 27/05/2012 20:05

You bunch of wusses. It's in the low forties now where I am. Grin

TroublesomeEx · 27/05/2012 20:11

jazzchickens I tend to avoid going out in the sun in the summer but it's not very practical.

DH came home today with some of this. I'm going to give it a go and hope for the best!

Yep, I too am the one on the beach in a long skirt and long sleeves and a big hat when everyone else is in bikinis, splashing in the sea... Grin

thebody · 27/05/2012 20:13

Love love love it.

Mrsjay · 27/05/2012 20:14

tulipsaremyfavourite · 27/05/2012 20:19

I HATE HATE HATE the heat. My eczema has flared up horrendously. I like a crisp frosty sunny cold winter's day. Go away sun!

jellybeans · 27/05/2012 20:20

I like rain and cold and also when it is sunny so don't moan that much. 21 or so with a breeze is lovely. But 26+ is too hot for me. That horrible sweaty weather especially at night.

JarethTheGoblinKing · 27/05/2012 20:28

Well the weather is going to change in the next couple of days, so you won't have to put up with it much longer!

tulipsaremyfavourite · 27/05/2012 20:31

Jareth I love you! Am off to check forecast now!
