Age not being kind...

I think she's lovely.

Retroformica · 31/10/2013 07:11

Richard is 54 by the way and unbearable

'Let's hope it doesn't happen to those who criticise.'

No, actually as a woman past 50. I'm rather hoping that it does.

PatoBanton · 31/10/2013 07:48

Some of the most wonderful people I have known have looked surprisingly unattractive.

You can see how lovely judy is however old she might appear.

I don't get the train of thought that makes someone feel it's Ok to start a thread like this.

What an arsehole of a thing to do.

froubylou · 31/10/2013 08:12

Am shocked that at thread like this is running on a forum used mainly by women.

I told my 9 yo DD off yesterday for being mean about a public figure on TV and explaining that as women and young girls we are are very vulnerable to peoples opinions on how we look, and that as women we should support other women.

And that if you can't think of anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 31/10/2013 08:48

Well as the thread is running again and we are discussing them I absolutely love Judy and Richard and would love to have them round for tea. I don't care if she looks like a supermodel or Les Dawson in drag, she's lovely and that's the important bit.

ohmymimi · 31/10/2013 09:01

Blimey, woman looks her age shocker. How dare she.

daddyorchipsdaddyorchips · 31/10/2013 09:03

I haven't met Judy but I've met Richard several times. He's a lovely, polite chap and always, always smells great.

I think Judy looks her age, and pretty good for it. Richard probably looks a bit younger than he is, so when you see them together, the age difference really stands out these days, whereas it didn't circa the This Morning years...

Damnautocorrect · 31/10/2013 09:14

But this isn't a personal attack Hmm

People are only surprised because we are not used to seeing older, natural faces on TV. It is wrong to expect to stay young looking as you age. We need more of this, and we need to stop denying the ageing process.

VisualiseAHorse · 31/10/2013 09:28

I think being married to Richard didn't help.

Tailtwister · 31/10/2013 09:31

I haven't seen her recently, but hasn't she been off our screens for a while? I always get a bit of a shock when I haven't seen a celebrity for a while but forget it's 10+ years since they've been on the TV. I thought the same when I saw a photo of Harrison Ford recently. He'll always be Indiana Jones in my mind!

Sparklingbrook · 31/10/2013 09:41

Leave her alone.

Here from three years ago, and yes it's the DM but some of you probably don't care about that. She's not an alcoholic FFS

Burmobasher · 31/10/2013 09:51

Woman in 60's looks her age, big wow.

Lighthousekeeping · 31/10/2013 09:52

What a horrible thread. It's bad enough when I hear it from friends. Talking about other women saying things like "great figure shame her face isn't all that" when did women get so vile about each other?

Sparklingbrook · 31/10/2013 09:55

I agree Lighthouse. JF is hardly in the public eye any more courting publicity.

FannyMcNally · 31/10/2013 09:58

I love Judy. I always thought she'd be a great laugh as a mate.

southeastastra · 31/10/2013 09:59

nice that someone actually searched for this thread to bump! she looks older shock horror!!!

Sparklingbrook · 31/10/2013 09:59

She is even a year older than when this thread started south. Bizarre.

Mumsyblouse · 31/10/2013 10:04

She looks a lot like my MIL who also has knee trouble, it stops you moving like a younger person and being in chronic pain takes its toll, also even small amounts of normal exercise are out and it's very easy to put on weight. She looks like a lovely lady who has had more than her fair share of pain and illness to me.
