Love that picture of her and Chloe. Awww.

HillyWallaby · 25/05/2012 16:27

Me too Bonnie. My mum's face has collapsed at 65 and mine's going the same way. God damn those jowls. Angry I sometimes catch a glimpse of my own reflection in a shop window and mistake myself for Walter Matthau, so I feel poor old Judy's pain being photographed on what was clearly a bad hair/ no make-up day. (those shots of her leaving a restaurant all dressed in black.) No-one over 45 looks great when they are caught unawares on a bad day, let's be fair. There are plenty of photos out there of her looking very lovely too, you know.

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 25/05/2012 16:31

See I dont mind aging but the thought of getting jowls....that bloody frightens the life outta me! Shallow?? God yes but so so honest!

aliceinboots · 25/05/2012 18:57

I don't want jowls either. Wrinkles? Fine. Might start doing those facial exercises that are supposed to help. Aren't they practised by some woman who is about 95 but only looks about 50..? Can't think of her name...

alistron1 · 25/05/2012 19:07

I've got jowls developing. It doesn't bother me a toss. Judy has (a) had a very successful career (b) a happy second marriage (c) a happy family life and (d) is generally well spoken of by people who actually know her.

I do miss Richard and Judy, as some others have said when I had my kids (pre interweb) This Morning was like mumsnet/forums. it was a friendly voice in the background, it made you angry/laugh/cry.

I think Judy should get an OBE or summat. I bloody loves her.

Vicky2011 · 25/05/2012 20:08

Have I mistakenly logged on to mailonline ?

BsshBossh · 25/05/2012 22:57

YABU. She's 64 and looks perfectly normal. This is such a bitchy thread.

CockyPants · 04/07/2012 18:56

What about Paul McCartney? I think he looks like Catherine Tate's rude Nan...

OP posts:
KenDoddsDadsDog · 04/07/2012 18:58

He looked like Ken Dodd at the jubilee concert .

theinets · 04/07/2012 22:20

It's the drink which has wrecked her looks, nothing else.

elaine7639 · 30/10/2013 21:53

This is what a 65 year old female looks like without plastic surgery/botox etc.. Why are we so horrified about the looks of a presenter who has aged naturally and chooses not to take the 'usual' route of artificial enhancement - are we so used to young presenters that an older person seems abnormal?
This is a disturbing and discouraging judgment by other women - also very saddening.
If we all take steps to ward off old age by botox etc we will still all look 'old' - but just in a different way - ie old age will be delineated by a frozen face and no expression. Would you have wanted your grandmother to have looked like that? Guess what - you have to face up to old age and get to grips with wrinkles etc because you will have to relinquish buying in to cosmetic companies' promises of a 'cure' for the signs of old age.
When are you going to face up - 60 plus - 70 - never? Maybe you'll be one of those 80 plus year olds who still haunt the cosmetic counters of the department stores - is that you? I'm guessing they'd still find something for you to buy even at that age and it would still be about 'holding back time'.
Sadly this obsession with youth can never be won. Look at your teenage daughter/niece etc and get real. Stop listening to the vested interests of cosmetic companies who are pandering to your vanity. Is that new release skin cream really that new - is that really going to outdo all the creams you have bought before and so justify more expense?
Of course you don't really believe these promotions but you 'treat' yourself anyway. Inside you don't believe it so the treat is hollow.
But maybe you still cling on to the fact that all the brands you know and love will stop the horror of wrinkles and old age. After all, hardly anyone on tv looks over 60 years old. At least 20 years onwards is blanked out and if it is not shown on the media we can conveniently forget.

YouStayClassySanDiego · 30/10/2013 22:09

Zombie thread!!!

Run for the hills, poor Judy doesn't need this judging!!

Onesleeptillwembley · 30/10/2013 22:17

My sis in law is close to someone that knows them pretty well. Apparently RM is a bit of a daft twat in a schoolboy ish way on occasion, but absolutely no harm in him. Actually a loyal well meaning bloke in real life. Apparently far brighter than given credit for, bit vague sometimes and seems rude but isn't. And they adore each other and complement each other perfectly. This sounds like their publicity machine, I know, but I'm not, honestly.

ICameOnTheJitney · 30/10/2013 22:24

What Elaine said. Do you imagine Judy is hard enough to take this kind of tearing apart without it hurting?? She is human...she's just not gone down the botox route and this is awful....

FreudiansSlipper · 30/10/2013 22:25

she looks like most women do at her age, she is still attractive

are we to compare her to Raquel Welch

Bridgette Bardot looked old for her age from 40 but still very very attractive

WorraLiberty · 30/10/2013 22:29

That's pretty in depth 3rd hand information there Onesleeptillwembley Grin

Sparklingbrook · 30/10/2013 22:32

Why has this thread been resurrected? Confused

CleverClod · 30/10/2013 22:36

Because she was on The One Shiw tonight and it reminded people of this thread perhaps???

Sparklingbrook · 30/10/2013 22:37

Oh right. But a search would have had to be done surely? Why not start a new thread? Or actually, don't.

Onesleeptillwembley · 30/10/2013 22:38

It is, lol, and yes, partly 2nd partly 3rd hand, but we do drink much wine and gossip when we get together. Thankfully her friends are either far more interesting or have more interesting friends, than mine!

specialsubject · 30/10/2013 22:45

she looks a reasonable 65 to me. Some people need to stop believing the trash mags.

ScoutJemAndBoooooooooooo · 30/10/2013 22:57

Just looked at the link, she looks totally fine!

anniroc · 31/10/2013 06:32

In her defense, I saw her in the flesh about 10 years ago, and she was very pretty. I think she looks better in the flesh (Richard was completely orange).
