A onesie? I love my onesie but I wouldn't wear it in public.

Darkling · 19/05/2012 20:36

YANBU to have seen it but she WBU to wear it in public if that's what you were getting at.

DPrince · 19/05/2012 20:37

They are all the rage, according to my cousin (18) I have seem them in republic and they cost about £120. I am sure there are cheaper ones but I can't imagine I would have ever worn one. Cousin also has one as do all of his mates with the us flag. Not pink fluffy ones, he wouldn't forgive me if I didn't point that out even here.

TheUnMember · 19/05/2012 20:37

My daughter has a black one with a white tummy and ears and whiskers and a tail and little mittens with paw pads. She lives in it and even wears it to school Shock. I pretend I don't know her.

Mrbojangles1 · 19/05/2012 20:37

Wore mine to corner shop the other day when I was feeling a bit shitty

and no OP you YANBU to see this. Wink

TheUnMember · 19/05/2012 20:42

They don't wear school uniforms here. The only dress code is no team shirts, slogans or swastikas. The teachers wear jeans and trainers.

AgentZigzag · 19/05/2012 20:42

You've got to get your priorities right UnMember, you're supposed to embarrass her

It's rule no. 34.

Mine is pink. With ears and a little white tummy patch. I had no idea it was a fahion item. 'Tis vair cosy in a house with no central heating though. Wait... I have no tail! I have been cheated!

IAmBooyhoo · 19/05/2012 20:45

ah right. i was picturing your DD swanning into school in her onesie amongst all teh others in their full uniform!

Emandlu · 19/05/2012 20:45

I have a flying squirrel onesie. I threaten the children that I will come and pick them up in it if they misbehave. Grin

IAmBooyhoo · 19/05/2012 20:46

but dont you have to take the whole top half off if you want to do a pee? or is there a pee hole? Confused

Babylon1 · 19/05/2012 20:47

My DS has loads of onesies - he is 3 weeks old Hmm

This is the only acceptable age for wearing them in public - after 18 months old it is just wrong!!

What people wear in their own homes is up to them of course!!!

AgentZigzag · 19/05/2012 20:47

I would admire someone who had the balls of steel to do that Booy.

Does it work Emandlu?

RubyGates · 19/05/2012 20:48

I think some of them have erm.... flaps. I have to unzip mine though.

TheUnMember · 19/05/2012 20:48

Do they chew gum as well?

No but one offered her a cigarette while on a cross country walk and she came home early from a school disco because she couldn't handle the teachers being drunk and leary.

AgentZigzag · 19/05/2012 20:49

Ooooh a three week old in beautiful pure white babygrow Babylon

HandMadeTail · 19/05/2012 20:52

DD1 has one. She's 13 on Monday. It's pink orange purple and grey stripes. We call it her babygro.

But she hasn't worn it outside the house yet.

OAM2009 · 19/05/2012 20:53

I bought DH a Superman one for Christmas (Primark £15.99, xxxxxl) and it just saved our marriage.

I was packing his bag as I was going to kick him out and divorce him and I shoved it in as he has no other pyjamas. He unpacked his bag to sleep in the spare room until a divorce in the morning and started giggling when he saw it. I joined in cos he has a lovely giggle and all was better.... Smile

Babylon1 · 19/05/2012 20:53

AgentZizag tis lovely!! My last one too, so getting lots of snuggles in Grin

Hopefullyrecovering · 19/05/2012 20:53

Brilliant idea Agent. I shall buy a onesie for myself and wear it to embarrass my teenagers.
