Well I'm from Essex Blush, have lived in Brentwood, and there are definitely loads of people just like that. There are however lots of people that are absolutely nothing like that. Unfortunately Essex residents now get tarred with the same brush as it were and 'outsiders' think everyone's like that Sad. I have recently re-located 'oop North' and my nickname is 'Towie' even though I am as far from the stereotype as you can get. I am frequently asked what Towieland is like as people cannot believe that the programmes is about 'real people' and that surely they can't be that stupid really Hmm. When I get homesick I do like to watch it to remind myself what I'm missing Grin

i forgot about this thread. Im actually waiting for it to come on, because i have nothing better to do with my life.

I often wonder, how all these people, like posters have said fund their lifestyles, because most of them have had surgery before TOWIE fame came along?

Curie died in 1934 of aplastic anemia brought on by her years of exposure to radiation.[7]

I'd rather my daughter didn't finish up like someone out of TOWIE or Marie Curie, thanks....

I don't think there are many desirable role models on TV for either sex... which is a great shame.

KateSpade · 21/05/2012 20:26

As a role model, i think Karen Brady is rather good. I know i am going to get shot down for this, however she is a woman, in a career surrounded by men, successful and a mother.
