Ds is a horrible nasty Ds :-(

Ds and I were talking about Dinosaurs yesterday and returning them Jurassic Park style. But instead of a zoo he had the grand idea of miniaturising them.

So you could have a Vivarium with a mini T-rex and feed it mice like a snake. Or a little outdoor herd of Brontosaurus like chickens, and keep Triceratops like goats.

But then Ds did the thing of evil. He said "Mum, you could even have a baby Mammoth, like a miniature dog, it could be about the size of a Micro pig, oooh ohh we'd call the the Micro Mammoth".

He then went on to speculate grooming it and it snurfling treats out your hand with it's trunk, and it curling up on your lap all warm and toasty.

He is horrid.

I spent all day wanting a baby Micro Mammoth. I woke up this morning wanting a Micro Mammoth and I still want one now. I have glowered at Ds repeatedly but he laughs at me. Angry

I am now longing for my baby Micro Mammoth that I will never have Sad and blame ds for this in full.

AIBU?

Is one of you my brother? Only he's been obsessed with the idea of tiny elephants and has been for years. I think it's unlikely he'd be posting on Mumsnet, but you never know.

maristella · 18/05/2012 21:13

tiny elephants? yes!

AIBU to want to lock HoneyDragon's son in a science lab until he perfects micromammoths?

HoneyDragonWearingLederhosen · 19/05/2012 10:45

I think that it is perfectly reasonable to force him to create Micro Mammoths

YANBU - now I also want one! (See, he has a ready-made market).

And YABU for posting this - If I hadn't known they might be were possible, I would not have known what I was missing.

And I love, love, love these falabella ponies But I suspect you couldn't really take them to bed, as they may not be house-trained.

You can house train them, they can be used as a guide instead of a dog.

I think I have a soloution until DS gets his doctorate

FFS! I want a micro mammoth now. My DS (15 ) is a very keen scientist so he promised that one day, if it’s in his powers😂, he will genetically make me one. I’m not holding my breath for that one though😂

Barney16 · 26/07/2025 22:07

What about the wooly mammoth mice?

Barney16 · 26/07/2025 22:08

OP is DS a scientist by any chance? My fingers are crossed...
