Plain crisps ffs. PLAIN CRISPS.

If I asked you to get me a packet of plain crisps, what would you bring me?

Every time I have asked dh for plain crisps these past couple of weeks he has come home without them, saying the shop didn't have any.

Then tonight he brought me ready salted and said he was sorry, the shop STILL didn't have any plain crisps but maybe I'd like ready salted instead?

Gentle probing revealed that he thought I wanted entirely plain and unflavoured crisps. WHO THE JEFF WANTS PLAIN, UNSALTED, UNFLAVOURED CRISPS?

Plain crisps = ready salted. IANBU.

Aren't the yellow monster munch roast beef flavour? If so you can certainly get them in the UK.

No the ones in the UK are roast beef but the ones in Ireland were something else. Not even sure if they still have them it's been years since I was there.

Now are they Monster munch or mighty munch? VERY different :o

I don't have a story about DH when with me, but when he was early 20's his Mum ran a hotel and sent him out to buy 1lb shaved ham, written like that. He asked the butcher for 11 pounds of shaved ham. I think the butcher ran out before he got to that.
