Forguve me, I now this is not an AIBU thread but there is more traffic here and I need advice quick.

DS has just come home from school and he has been rained on, he's soaked through, I've checked him over and he doesn't appear to be melting but you can never tell with these things can you.

Do you think he will be okay or should I get the hair driers out?

Thanks in advance, I am sure I will get some very helpful advice [tongue in cheek smiley]

Do you mean 'peg him out' as in staked to the ground or hanging from the washing line 'peg him out'

ahhh I see that someone has suggested rrice. rinse him off first, you never know what nasties could be in rain for goodness sake. then pop him in a big vat and fill it up with rice. should be dry in a few weeks.

hth

It seems a waste to use rice for one already stinking teenager who is now smelling slightly musty and has signs of mould growth

I'm shocked and horrified at this thread OP. Your poor child.

Would you like my address so you can contact SS, I would do it myself but I've got my hands full with rice, pegs, bathplugs and microwaves

You are not too late
Thank the lord above, I had visions of how you would explain to others why your son was teddybear size, not to mention the horror's he would have have to endure, reaching the biscuit cupboard would have been too much for him :(

luckily I have a climbing harness and rope
Redemption in itself..... A mother ready for every eventuality :)

Should I take him out of his wet clothing or air dry them at the same time?
Either should work but for practicality sake/multi-tasking, I'm tempted to go with dry at the same time.

If you do replace your ds with a hamster make sure it poos in your neighbour's garden

EXmrsmascarahead · 15/05/2012 18:28

I've decided not to swap DS for a hamster, I have come to this decision because it took me long enough to teach DS to shit in the neighbours garden, I don't want to have to go through all that again, especially when the neighbours are still blaming foxes
